We cannot contain our excitement for these upcoming evenings with some incredible Canadian authors!

Aug 26th we have Natalie Sue joining our boozy book club & you are invited to join the apartment mixer back at the shop for a chance to meet Natalie Sue & chat with other residents of the apartment (makes sense when you read the book - promise 😉)

Sept 17th Will Ferguson is here to connect on his newest release Officer Shimada & the Disappearing Girl! Fun fact: Will read a piece of the manuscript of this release at one of our @alexandrawriters open mic’s this winter!

Oct 17th the one and only Vivek Shraya is back and this time to celebrate with us the release of her new book The Hystericals. Opening up the night will be music by talented local musician @kindemusic

Have you SEEN the line-up for the next 5 months?!? We are beyond ecstatic. The Sept - December shows (4) can now be purchased as a discounted season pass or individual show.

Aug 22nd: @covenhoven joins us again this summer from Colorado with over 1 millions streams on Spotify, highlighted on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why & is just an outright outstanding musician.
.
Sept 18th: @florafallsmusic joins us as a duo from Germany with incredible harmonies & musical skills mixed with a fun, quirky and whimsical vibe.
.
Oct 9th; @kaeley_jade Kaeley Jade is an award-winning singer/songwriter, who’s vocals will blow you away, lyrics will fill your heart & maybe tear ducts - based in Edmonton (we won’t hold that against you 😉)
.
Nov 14th: @z.enon … you know when you expect a good concert and then you sit down and are juts blown away with talent? That’s Calgary based Zenon. Don’t miss this show.
.
Dec 5th: @itslewiscardinal based in Calgary & the Okanagan - Lewis plays with such heart & will be playing a very unique benefit concert for us this holiday season. He was this year’s winner of the @bluewillowentertainment songwriter competition, plays with raw honesty, and lots of love (& one of his songs playing on repeat on Julia’s playlist)

Our winter line-up is also almost set and is also a powerhouse of artists.

Something we’ve been building quietly is ready to go public! 👀 📚

Found Books and Village of Play are teaming up to launch The Curators Club, six weeks where kids don’t just read a book, they build a piece of it. Pick a story, grab a partner, sketch a scene, then bring it to life with cardboard, paint, and whatever else the build calls for.

We start next week. Registration is open now and closes October 6, and spots are limited, so if your Curator has been eyeing this one, don’t wait.

Grades 4 to 6. Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30 PM, at Found Books.
Showcase night is November 10, where every builder gets to show off what they made.
