We are pleased to announce the opener for Dallas Smith tomorrow! @mariyastokes : If Kacey Musgraves and Lake Street Dive had a country-soul love child, the result would be Mariya Stokes. Known for her distinct retro style and quirky sense of humour, Country Music Alberta’s two-time Horizon Female Artist of the Year is on the cusp of releasing her debut full-length album. Growing up in Stavely, Alberta, Stokes’ music reflects her roots: honest country lyrics seamlessly blended with pop-influenced melodies. See you tonight!

Opening for @dinnerwithjulie we have powerhouse vocalist @katestevensofficial !!
.
One of Calgary’s finest vocalists and songwriters, Kate Stevens, uses her songs to be unapologetic and her best self. Together with her band Kate has established an emotive soul and R&B sound riddled with jazz harmonies that causes listeners to get lost in the highs and lows of relationships in the 21st century. Kate’s storytelling abilities and sultry voice are capable of single-handedly transporting listeners to the moment where they first make eye contact with a potential significant other, and evoking the emotions that cause your palms to sweat and your heart race.

Kate has been able to make the most of her opportunities locally, winning numerous awards for her songwriting, and performances at venues such as the National Music Centre, and the Calgary Folk Music Festival. Currently, she uses her platforms as a performer and radio host CKUA to empower and mentor other upcoming musicians locally and across the radio airwaves.

We are so pleased to announce the person who will open us into the session with Joshua Whitehead Mar 3rd 👏👏. @ashleyghostkeeper is a Metis-Cree Country Artist originally from Red Deer, Alberta. Nominated for an Official Country Music Alberta Award in 2023 for “Fan’s Choice”. She was born into a family of singers and songwriters and is heavily influenced by their love of music. A natural storyteller, Ashley’s music connects with her listeners at a deeper level of meaning, while staying true to her country roots. At 8 years old, she began writing and singing her own songs drawing inspiration from artists such as Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, and The Chicks. The classic 90s country sound helped to carve her honest, down to earth style with an early 2000s country feel. Ashley’s unique singing style encompasses a feeling of sensitivity with a blissful melodic twang. Ashley - we cannot wait!!
