This is a picture I took on my first day @gandbcoffee, after @ianhamsandwich and I checked in about how the shift went. I'll never forget the feeling of humility I left with, and how many times it would come back over the years.

Monday was my last shift at this beautiful, enigmatic, ineffable little shop, and it's been hard to know what to say.

I got the chance to work shoulder shoulder with some of the world's best professionals, in spaces that have taught me so much. I've been truly mentored in ways I never expected, and pushed to return the favor by people who saw leadership in me when I couldn't.

I'm not entirely sure what's next in my life, but I'm excited to take some time to integrate what I can from these last few years -- basking in the warm embrace of a Los Angeles Summer.

If you're trying to celebrate, find me at shortstop tomorrow (Monday) at 9 for a boogie. by @fourclicksoffzero
