RIP 2026_02-28 6of9 (Ride In Pictures)
The guys at @allezlabikeshop will soon be just down the street from the new @commonspace.highlandpark location but since it was still a work in progress at the time of this ride, we made our way through Highland Park to @solarcbrewing. Trust us when we tell you that this place is one of the most treasured gems of the LA brewing landscape. They really march to the beat of their own drum (or sometimes modular synthesizer and oboe) with ingredients and brewing techniques that you just won’t see anywhere else around here. We’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to their Bicycle Toad brew as well as one of the only local gruit brews that we know of and definitely the best fuzzy tea available for our non-alcoholic friends.

Last month, @yellowpaperburger hosted Capicu for their Summer Pop Up Series, and boy was it a special event! 🥹🫶🏽

So much sazon! So much love! So much support! Y’all pulled up! 🥰

So grateful to Katie and Colin at @yellowpaperburger for the opportunity to create, cook, play Celia Cruz and have fun!

Thank you to @bananapressdesign.co and @jarandabad for your graphic design artistry time and time again and for making Capicu look and feel offish!

The biggest thank you to my sister @anabelthelioness_xo who is always there to help me on a whim and has been there since the very beginning to help with driving, prep, loading and unloading, grocery runs, mental and emotional support, words of encouragement, haha you name it; she is the other half of this beast of a little business!

Thank you to everyone who came to eat, play a round of dominoes, take a photo, share on IG, follow me on IG, try PR food for the first time, meet new friends and support local businesses! It’s so rad meeting other PR folks who share that the comida reminds them of their parents cooking or being back on the island! Its stories and interactions like that that make it all worth it. We Borinqueños, we out here! And I’m so proud to share our love through our comida!! 🇵🇷

Muchisimas gracias por tu amor y apoyo y por dejarme alimentarte! 🫶🏽🙏🏽🥰

SOLARCIVERSARY!

Congratulations to @solarcbrewing It’s been a year since they opened their doors to the public and our community! It is a truly inspiring place to be with friends, be with yourself and listen! It has been a privilege to share music in this space every week with music and my life is richer for it!

Come celebrate tonight at LadleNight! Once I finish my delicious bowl of MOMANDPUP soup I will be playing from 6-CLOSE! Hope to see you there!
