✨ Storyvale is here! ✨

This fun and wild little number is the perfect escape, like a good book! 📖 The stitch pattern feels like a page-turner and the ending (or bind off) has a plot twist! Am I cheesy enough for you??

Storyvale is totally flexible, with instructions for both my fingering and DK weight versions. And I packed the entire pattern with all the extras: videos, charts, trackers, and a stitch visualization guide to help you along the way!

🌈 My fingering weight version used 12 vibrant minis I had to have from @hedgehogfibres

🩵 My DK version used 3 precious skeins from some favorite indie dyers @republic.of.wool and @spunrightround

Hi there! I’m looking for test knitters for my latest pattern, the Storyvale shawl! 💕

It features a super fun all over stitch that is the perfect canvas for getting creative with color. For my samples I used some wild mini skeins from @hedgehogfibres and some treasured skeins from @republicofwool and @spunrightround 😍

Instructions for fingering and DK are provided. If you want to make it your own and change up the yarn weight or sizing, I provide guidance for that too.

I have so much I should be doing but today self-discipline seems optional. 😅

Ok, I’m going to try to post here more often but I always feel like I have nothing to show so here’s my travel situation & chaos. I always travel with at least 3 projects but also tons of scrap yarn for test swatches. I end up with 7 or so project bags and needles poking out every which way.

I went on a recent trip and decided something had to change but, alas, I was up to the same old tricks. Here’s all the chaos from one road trip to South Carolina! I did lighten my load by subbing out my overstuffed notions bag for this Thread & Maple project page. Although they did so kindly gift this to me, I’ve wanted the binder system for so long and now I have my starting piece! I love that it can be used on its own and I can just toss it in a project bag. Thank you so much @threadandmaple !

Now, why do I have a fancy juice cap? It is one of my favorite notions. I use it as a little bowl for markers, beads, etc. while in the car. You know, instead of the door handle. What’s the weirdest thing in your notions kit?

What a fun adventure vending has been! It’s been so wonderful to meet so many makers, make new friends & connections, chat about yarn & knitting nonstop 😅, and gain a wealth of inspiration.

The first ever @freshcoastfiberfest was this past weekend in Traverse City and it was so amazing. Great city, venue, and organizer. Jamie @m1yarns is a complete treasure and I’m so lucky to know her and call her a friend! 🥹 I’ll be sharing more soon but give her and the festival a follow so you know all the details for next year. Now for a day of rest!
