For anyone who knows me, you know of my love for all things Muppets/Jim Henson related. Today I got to check an item off my bucket list I didn’t even know I had…

Today, Fraggle and I got to meet a real life Fraggle! Dave Goelz, a longtime Muppeteer who played Gonzo, Waldorf, and Bunson Honeydew (to name a few), came to Beauty and the Beast today in San Francisco and he was one of the loveliest humans I have ever met in my life.

He loved Fraggle (of course…) and loved that she was named after a piece of his work. That something he helped create inspired me enough to name my child after them.

We talked about Muppet Christmas Carol, and how he can’t watch it without crying because of how special it is to him.

We talked about Emmett Otter and how that was one of his favorite projects.

We talked about the love of creating and giving a piece of our hearts into what we do and why that makes what we do so special.

Today was a day I will NEVER forget.

It’s hard to believe, but we just celebrated our one year anniversary with @beautymusical It has been a year with the highest highs professionally and the lowest lows personally. But through it all I have had @fragglethepup to snuggle against her will, and the AMAZING @itsaaron5 to keep me laughing and sane. I couldn’t have done this without you!!.

Today is Fraggle’s 9th birthday. I thought we would lose her at one point this year, but she is a fighter and came thru. She continues to bring joy to literally every person she meets. She’s special. She’s literally the love of my life. Happy Birthday baby girl #dog #dogsofinstagram #shihtzu #doggo #shihtzusofinstagram taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @fragglethepup

Our fabulous Belle @kyrabellejohnson and Beast @fergsters95 took photos post show to raise money for Broadway Cares. Hearing the stories people share about how special this show is to them, always reminds me why we do what we do. Is it tough at times? Yes. But the joy it brings to people makes it all worth it @disneyonbroadway @beautymusical taken in Boston Opera House by @fragglethepup

I have followed an amazing artist on IG for YEARS who specializes in drawing animals in the style of old school Disney animation. Her name is Isa and her handle is @pet_disneyfication
.
To get a commission you have to enter a drawing because she only has time to do so many every month. After entering almost every month for like 5 years, I finally won!!
.
.
Look how adorable @fragglethepup is??? Isa is an amazingly talented artist and I hope that if you have a pet, you will enter her drawings to get a portrait done as well. Support artists!!.

@fragglethepup and I met Broadway and Disney royalty tonight. Broadway’s original Belle and the voice of Meg in Hercules, @iamsusanegan

I probably wore my original cast album OUT listening to her sing and meeting her was an honor and a bucket list item I didn’t know I had until today. And watching the surprised looks on my cast’s faces when she came out, that’s one for the memory banks.

What is my life?!!

Oh and she adored Fraggle, as you can see. ☺️.
