Crossing by the Palm, gouache on paper.

This one was a rapid study of trying to catch the last of the golden hour right at the base of Coit Tower looking over towards the Golden Gate Bridge. It was really fun trying to capture the layers and layers of buildings, and of course a crossing sign as well.

just rocked a 2 day workshop with the one and only @franklinlei 🤲🏾 who taught plein air painting to 13 artists at Pier 7! tysm to everyone who grabbed a 🎟️ + to our awesome teacher who dispensed some great info ❤️ we're planning more and with your support, we can keep rocking for years to come 🤲🏾 by @franklinlei

Author's Bio: Bio: Justin Wu was born and raised in Northern California, in a neighborhood with boba shops on every other block. All those cups of tea with oat milk and grass jelly have permanently altered his circadian rhythm. He spends his late nights at the office and his later nights writing stories, and if life were to never change, he’d be okay with it.

Artist's Bio: Franklin Lei is an artist living and working in San Francisco who works with traditional as well as digital media. He loves plein air painting and portrait painting. by @franklinlei
