Sometimes you have to come back to realize just how far you’ve come. 🤍

In July 2023, I came to Florence during one of the most uncertain chapters of my life. I had spent so much of myself on a career that I’d forgotten there was supposed to be a whole person outside of it.

I remember sitting in this exact spot, not knowing what was next, but knowing something had to change.

Three years later, I found myself back at the same table.

Except this time, I wasn’t trying to figure out who I was without my job. I already knew.

I still love my career. I still work hard. But I’ve learned that a beautiful life can hold ambition and rest. Work and adventure. Plans and a random Tuesday wandering around Florence.

And maybe my favorite part? Back then, I dreamed about what it might feel like to build a life where I could work and still see the world.

This time, I got to live a little piece of it. 🥹🇮🇹

Same spot. Different woman.

And I think 2023 me would be really proud of her. 🤍

Florence, Italy • solo travel • personal growth • working abroad • Italy travel • choosing yourself

Some people go back to Florence for the art. I’m going back for unfinished business. 🍝🇮🇹

Years later and I STILL think about this pasta at @osteriapastella

There’s just something about eating in Florence, Italy that ruins you a little bit. The pasta. The wine. The tiny restaurants. The meals that somehow turn into hours. And apparently, one very specific plate of pasta that has lived rent free in my head ever since. 😂

The good news? I’m heading back to Florence soon, and finding pasta this good again is officially part of the mission.

So Florence food people, I need you:

What is the ONE restaurant or pasta dish in Florence that you still think about? 👇

I’m taking notes. 🍝

Lefkes has to be the most photogenic town I’ve ever been to. It’s also a glimpse of the way locals live on Paros Island. There were barely any tourist, heck there weren’t any people at all on the streets. Lefkes you’re my fave 💙💗

Did you know @macy’s has an entire section dedicated to the Thanksgiving Day Parade?! 🎈❤️

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and of course, they’re celebrating in a BIG way! ✨

I stopped by Macy’s Herald Square in NYC to check out their special anniversary collection, and there were so many adorable finds! From parade-inspired ornaments to exclusive collectibles, it’s such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.

But what was I most excited about? HELLO KITTY! 🎀🥹 She’s making her comeback to the parade, and they even have a whole section dedicated to her! Naturally, I couldn’t leave without bringing home a little something.

If you’re visiting NYC this holiday season, definitely add this to your list of things to check out! If you can’t make it their Parade store is online - see link in my bio!

A cemetery has no business being this beautiful. 🖤🍂

Okay, but hear me out! If you’ve never been to Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, you’re missing out on one of NYC’s most beautiful hidden gems.

Between the Gothic architecture, winding pathways, historic monuments, and gorgeous fall foliage, it honestly feels like you’ve stepped into a scene from a movie. Especially during spooky season. 🧙🏻‍♀️✨

And here’s a fun fact: Green-Wood was founded in 1838 and is a National Historic Landmark. It’s not just a cemetery, it’s also an incredible place to experience NYC history, art, and nature.

🍂 Save this for your next fall adventure in NYC! And remember to be respectful when visiting since it’s still an active cemetery.

🌼💀 One of the most beautiful ways to remember the people we love is to celebrate the lives they lived. ❤️

Hidden inside the Historic Chapel at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn is a beautiful Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) exhibit, and I’m so glad I got to experience it.

The installation, called Reposo y Recuerdo (Rest and Remember), was created by Mexican artist Laura Anderson Barbata to honor loved ones who are no longer with us.

The chapel is filled with colorful papel picado, marigold garlands, and handwoven hammocks created in collaboration with Mexican artisans. But what makes this exhibit so special is that you’re invited to be part of it. ❤️

Visitors can leave photos, handwritten notes, flowers, or small mementos on the community ofrenda (altar) to honor someone they love.

Día de Muertos is a Mexican tradition that reminds us that even though our loved ones may no longer be physically with us, their memories and the love we have for them live on. 🧡

📍 Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY
⛪ Historic Chapel
🗓️ October 9 to November 15, 2026
⏰ Open daily, 10 AM to 5 PM
🎟️ Free admission

💡 Tip: Bring a photo or write a little note to someone you miss. You can add it to the community altar and be part of something truly meaningful.

Save this for your next Brooklyn adventure and share it with someone who would appreciate this beautiful experience. 🌼

Introducing PTIB: People Team in Black! 🕶️

A little glimpse into another part of my life that I absolutely love! 💙

When I’m not traveling, exploring NYC, or finding my next favorite place to eat, I’m leading Talent Acquisition at @bubble__hq

I don’t share much about my career on here, but it’s a huge part of who I am, and I’m so grateful to do work I love alongside some pretty incredible people.

One of the best parts? Getting to work with a team that’s not only smart and talented, but genuinely kind, supportive, and knows how to have fun along the way!

Because who says you can’t work hard, love what you do, AND have a little fun? 🥹🖤

Happy Halloween from our crew to yours! 🎃👻

Run, don’t walk, NYC salmon lovers 🍣👀 Tokyo’s viral Salmon Mountain Don is at @osakafusionsushi , and it’s only available until October 31!

Thick cuts of salmon topped with uni and ikura 🤤 SO good, not overrated, and I’m already trying to squeeze in another visit before it’s gone!

Halloween in New York City is my absolute favorite. 🎃🖤 I love how the city turns into our very own Halloween town this time of year.

The decorated stoops, the costumes, the way people go all out just to make it fun for everyone. Some neighborhoods feel like you’ve stepped right into a Halloween movie, and I could spend hours walking around taking it all in. 👻🍂

Just one more reason I love being here in the fall. What are you going to be for Halloween this year? Tell me in the comments! 🧡

A girls’ night in with cheese, wine, and friends who make you feel like, “Wait, I can actually do this.” 🥹🍷

We caught up, talked about our goals, and somewhere along the way started brainstorming and creating together. Art, business, content creation. Everyone had something they wanted to bring to life, and everyone had ideas for each other.

It feels really good to say a dream out loud and have your friends get excited with you. To have people who see what you’re capable of and remind you when you need it.

More nights like this, please. 🤍

My contribution to the family gathering? Good cheese, great taste in art (@kandeatelier) and questionable influence. 😂🍷

Here for the snacks, the gossip, and being everyone’s favorite auntie. Please direct all serious responsibilities to another adult.

Send this to the auntie who always understands the assignment. 🧀

You guys, we did the impossible. We got into Bánh Anh Em AND were the first people seated when they opened. Someone please put this on my NYC résumé. 😂👏🏼

Our secret? Someone in our group started waiting in line at 4:45 PM for their 6 PM opening. Do you need to be that committed to get a table? Probably not. But if you want to be FIRST, you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤭 Also, they seat full parties only.

And after that first bite? It all made sense. The food was INCREDIBLE. The hype is real. The wait is worth it.

Our table had crispy bánh mì, Bánh Cuốn Hà Nội topped with fried shallots, and Bún Riêu, a crab and tomato noodle soup. Then there was Bánh Ướt Chồng, a whole tower of rice sheets for making little wraps with meat, herbs, and dipping sauces. My kind of arts and crafts. 🍜

One of those meals where you’re still eating and already discussing what you’re ordering next time.

📍 Bánh Anh Em, East Village, NYC

Save this for your NYC food list and send it to the friend you’d stand in line with. Or the one willing to get there at 4. 👀😂
