Nice Côte d’Azur 100 miler done! ✅ My first 100 mile race finished (after my DNF at Ultra Trail Snowdonia early this year). It was tough! I really had nothing left at the end. Legs were shot, mind had turned to mulch, but I did it! Looking back on a wonderful time in my happy place — the Alps. I fastpacked (most of) the #tourdumontblanc in three days, crossing three borders, covering over 120km and 7000m of elevation gain. It was good to be back! Despite the bad weather on day 1 🌧️ Part fun, part training for #nicecotedazurbyutmb in less than 5 weeks. So I’ll be back soon! #trailrunning #ultrarunning by @fransflippo

Last week at @trailrunningeu 's Leersumerveld trail run, I had the privilege of meeting @rab.equipment-sponsored endurance athlete @noor.vanderveen. Noor has had a short but already incredibly impressive trail running career that includes two UTMB finishes. More impressively, she recently achieved a supported FKT on the Haute Route through the Pyrenees, completing the nearly 800km route from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean in 10 days. She was also this year's Tor de Géants winner and only the second woman ever to finish that race's 330km in under 80 hours. But what left a lasting impression was her love for what's really important in life: surrounding yourself with friends and family that support you, and appreciating and caring for this planet that lets us do what we all love: run in nature. My trip by train and bus to Vielha, in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees, where I ran the UTMB European Major Val d’Aran. Due to weather the original course of 110k with 6500 meters of elevation gain was shortened to nearly 81k and 4100m of elevation gain, but it was still a tough and beautiful day out!#valdaranbyutmb #vielha #valdaran #utmb #trailrunning #trainsnotplanes taken in Vielha, Vall D'aran by @fransflippo

Ready for Leiden! Running around the city where I went to high school, and along the route that I used to cycle along to school from my home town. And through a lot of “polder” (flat farmland below sea level) that I’m not looking forward to so much 😅 Also last big run before Comrades. And I’ll be thinking of my fellow Pirates running the Pirates “Big Daddy” marathon — the Marathon that never was — tomorrow morning at the same time 🏴‍☠️. #leiden #leidenmarathon #stedelijkgymnasiumleiden #comrades #piratesrunningclub by @fransflippo
