So happy to be announcing these two final shows in support of Patterns in Repeat. I had an amazing time playing this album with such incredible musicians in London and NYC - i wanted to get in one more run before I bow out again. I won’t be playing live again for a year or two (🐣👶🫠) so, hope to see you at Manchester Albert Hall, one of my favourite venues. Tickets on sale Tuesday at 10am. taken in Albert Hall by @fraserbowles

I can’t wait to listen to the final mix.
Many thanks to all those who participated to this session!

📣 I’m thrilled to announce that my debut album ‘A Beginning and an End’ is OUT NOW!

⛰️🌞⛰️

LINK IN BIO

It’s been a real journey getting this out, full of ups and downs, but I’m so pleased to finally share it with you all.

The album was recorded live alongside a thunderstorm. This of course was not planned, but it became a gift that stayed with us throughout the whole process, giving it a character that money can’t buy.
I had to allow the storm to take the lead sometimes, to conduct and play it’s part, reminding me that music and life is not about ‘perfection’ or getting things right, but about capturing moments and succumbing to the elements that are out of our control.

This would not be possible without these incredible musicians and humans:

Violin - @violinrich
Cello - @fraserbowles
Double Bass - @alfie_wolfiebass

Mastering - @jasonmitchellmastering

Also special thanks to the sonic wizard Franklin Mockett of @theroadrecordsstudio @samanamusic who recorded and mixed the album alongside me. Really helped me remember the value of enjoying the process and how it’s such a huge privilege to still be working with such close and old friends 🖤

Lastly massive thanks to my family, loved ones and friends who have given me so much support over the years. You know who you are!

There’s a lot of my own personal experiences and emotions in this; love, loss, grief, hope, awe, all that stuff. But I guess ultimately what I’m hoping to achieve, is to make music where people can find a space for thought, reflection, emotion and peace, the same I have found in others.

Anyway, for now. Take it with you through the fields, the streets or in your home, it’s yours. I hope you enjoy.

With love,

James x
