Meet Founders Running Club (@frcamsterdam), one of Amsterdam’s more established Run Clubs 🏃‍♂️

With 65+ cities worldwide, its the same idea: same spot, every Saturday morning, no excuses.

And don’t let the name fool you. It’s not just for founders. Builders, freelancers, people working at a VC or a corporate, everyone’s welcome.

What we love about them: one of their city leads, Marcello, actually discovered the club through RunClubs.nl. They’ve been hosting their runs and staying active ever since, which keeps bringing new runners their way. That kind of energy is exactly what pushes us to keep making the platform better.

Every Saturday starts the same way.

A group of people from different countries, backgrounds, industries, and stages of life show up for a run around Vondelpark and then have a coffee after. Some are founders, some are operators, some are creatives, some are investors, and some just moved to the city looking to meet good people.

Most people arrive not knowing anyone. That usually changes pretty quickly.

What makes Founders Running Club special is not the running itself. It is what happens around it.

The conversations before we go to the park.
The introductions before the warm up.
The people matching pace naturally.
The coffee chats that turn into friendships, collaborations, job opportunities, startup ideas, or simply feeling more connected to the city.

A lot of the best moments happen after the run is finished.

That is why hidden gems like Cafe Conrad matter so much to our community. Having a relaxed spot where everyone can stay, sit down, continue conversations, and properly connect turns a weekly run into something much bigger than exercise.

Week after week, we keep seeing the same thing:
people coming once and then returning because of the atmosphere, the consistency, and the people they meet here.

No pressure.
No exclusivity.
No awkward networking.
Just good people showing up consistently.

We really appreciate everyone who join, and grateful to Cafe Conrad for hosting the post-run coffees & conversations ☕️

Last night, FRC Amsterdam teamed up with Epicenter for a run around their HQ near Central Station to celebrate their opening in Amsterdam. They’re an innovation hub hosting hundreds of events yearly in Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm.

Joey Bayer, Head of International Community at Epicenter welcomed everyone then City Lead & Head of Partnerships, Marcello @coach.marcello interviewed Global Founder @whytimofey of @foundersrc.

Followed up by drinks, snacks, and even a cheeky protein bar to celebrate the night. It was a great networking moment with new and familiar faces.

One of the insights shared by Tim was that when we sweat together, we level and share our real Founder problems and solutions. Running together while connecting with like-minded individuals is really powerful.

FRC Amsterdam is growing stronger each week, with our weekly Saturday ritual around Vondelpark and back to Cafe Conrad, as well as some mid-week runs coming up soon. We want to provide our members with plenty of opportunities to connect and meet new & interesting people. For more information on future events, click the link in our bio.

The founder of @foundersrc himself, @whytimofey dropped by @cafeconradvondelpark and joined us for some kms, coffee and conversation. 👋

For a community that now has FRC chapters in 65+ major cities around the world, it was pretty sweet to have the person who started it all back with us in Amsterdam. After all, we are 2nd city after @frcsanfrancisco 🙌

If you missed him this time, don’t worry. You’ll have another chance to meet Tim next Wednesday, 7 October, at @epicenteramsterdam. He’ll be sharing the FRC origin story, how the community started and what inspired him to build a running club around bringing founders and builders together. And yes, there’ll be drinks too 🍻

What an amazing turnout! We partnered with Ams Tech Week to close out their events how we know best, a run followed by coffee and conversations. There were so many new and familiar faces connecting while running.

Yeah, we usually run on Saturdays. Kilometres, conversations, coffee. But last night, we met just for mid-week beers, banter and good company. No kilometres required. Vibes so nice, that only 1 photo was taken 🫠

People came along who have been in the group for months but hadn’t made it to a Saturday run yet. We had members running with us for over a year. Others came alone without knowing anyone. By the end of the night, people were swapping stories, making introductions and making plans to see each other again. That’s the community we are building.

A place where founders can meet people they genuinely enjoy being around, help each other out and feel like they belong.

And yes, you can be part of FRC without running.

Autumn is here! 🍂 still t-shirt weather, and very pleasant conditions for laps of Vondelpark. Another week of connections, kms and coffee at @cafeconradvondelpark. We have runners go around Vondelpark at 9.30am and then from 10.30am non-runners are welcome to join us at the cafe.
