Thank you to @notathingevents & @wherewereyoupresents for having me come and play, and of course to @adam_the_howliston & @luke_ash06 for joining me on stage

Come with us on our road trip down south 🚗☀️🎶

Back at the end of July, I took the band 250 miles from Leeds to my tiny hometown on the south coast for a very special weekend 🥹

Here’s what we got up to!

Still so grateful to everyone who came down to support us at HI Fest ❤️

CASEMATES STUDIOS⭐️

A couple of weeks ago, me and the band got to spend the afternoon rehearsing at @casematesstudios before playing HI-FEST the next day.

Such a great space to play in and we were made to feel so welcome. Can’t wait till next time! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ taken in Casemates Studios & Cafe by @freddierosemusic

For me, this song was always about the difference between what someone tells you and what they actually show you.

It came from reaching that point where you’ve heard all the promises before, but their actions keep telling you something different. When you know, deep down, who someone is, but there’s still a part of you holding onto the person you hoped they could be.

I found letting go of that version of someone can sometimes be harder than accepting the reality in front of you.

That’s really where this song came from. The frustration, the hope, and eventually the acceptance of seeing someone for the man they are.

Very proud that this is the song I got to introduce myself with ❤️

Last night, ‘The Man You Are’ had its first radio play on BBC Introducing Solent 🥹

Very surreal hearing my debut single on the radio for the first time, and especially lovely for it to be played back home.

If you didn’t manage to catch it, it will be on same time again on Saturday! Part of the BBC Solent Introducing show 8pm- 10pm (TMYA is on at 8:43pm)

Thank you so much to @bbcintroducing @stephnradio @laurenscaptures_ for playing my track ❤️ by @freddierosemusic

One week of ‘The Man You Are’ ❤️

‘The Man You Are’ is out now.
