Black History Month has me thinking a lot about identity… and legacy.

I grew up in a Black neighborhood, went to Black schools, and then experienced culture shock stepping into spaces where I was suddenly very aware of how I was seen. That awareness stays with you.

Now… I’m a dad, raising a biracial son. And it’s making me reflect on all of it in a new way.

This series is about fatherhood, identity, and learning in real time.

One of the best things we can do as parents is slow down and let them help.

Yes, it takes longer. It’s messier. (I’m STILL finding sprinkles on the kitchen floor) And you’ll probably have to redo a few things. But to them, they’re not just helping make a cake..they’re getting to do something with you 💙

Those are the little moments that turn into core memories.
