Wooden books! We just painted this sweet tiny one for a private collection. A while back we created quite a large series of painted books for @welikeart.nl They were aquired by @codaapeldoorn and are on display as part of their permanent collection. #paintedbooks #freelingwaters #paintedobjects by @freelingwaters

This Saturday @stedelijkmuseumkampen re-opened it's doors after an extensive renovation. Our new permanent mural 'Faux Marble Stairs' is part of it. We painted it in ten days with our crew of six, plus the help of twelve students of the local artschool. They got on site training and showed true dedication! (See last clip). Many thanks to the great teams of @stedelijkmuseumkampen and @wijzijnvormers for this smooth operation!

Last two weekends we worked on a mural at the outside folding doors of @friesmuseum in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

We were commissioned to create an artwork celebrating Mata Hari, the Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan convicted of spying for Germany during World War I. (Later biographers argue she was condemned simply because the French Army needed a scapegoat.)

While researching a fitting concept for the mural, we discovered a stunning collection of Mata Hari movie posters. Interpreted time and again by leading directors and actors over the past century, this mural honors not only Mata Hari herself, but also the seemingly endless stream of inspiration her life has brought to the arts.

We gathered the A-team of painting to get this job done in four days:

Always with us the fantastic @judithwitteman
The sweetest girl with the softest brush @mironuaki
The best dressed painter we have ever met @josquinvanelburg
And last but not least, Rockstar Extraordinaire aka the Lionesse @kikarty!

Thank you @evdlingen for inviting us at your house @friesmuseum and your home!
