Freelon Design Studio was founded on a deeply personal beginning—transforming a space for family—and has since evolved into a practice defined by intention, precision, and elevated living.
Led by Khyan Freelon, an integrated designer and artist with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (CIDA-accredited) and a foundation in drafting, the studio approaches each project with a tailored, client-centered perspective. Every space is considered, every detail deliberate.
We specialize in new construction, space planning, and procurement, delivering cohesive environments that are both functional and enduring.
At Freelon Design Studio, we design with care—treating every project with the same level of attention and respect we would offer our own family. by @freelondesigns

1-2 are our studio’s renderings of a hospitality concept project completed in 2023. 3–6 are renderings from other great designers. Our studio draws inspiration of these type of spaces. Spaces that have a common quality of warmth, symmetry, repetition, moodiness, and most importantly, awe and wonder✨. by @freelondesigns

Reminiscing on the time I went to @blackinteriordesignersinc awards ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia. I am more amazed now than before meeting of these multi-talented designers. After viewing all of their amazing projects, cadence to the craft, publication features, and overall presence over the past year. What they and many more contribute to architecture and design industry is absolutely imperative. Keep winning, continue building, stay vibrant. Also open for business! Hit your boy up if you need help with projects😉, please give me a reason to travel 😆✌🏽 by @freelondesigns

This work marks a new direction in my practice, drawing from Mississippi culture, ancient world influence, and the layered symbolism that continues to guide my hand. On view at TCC Gallery, South Campus, Fort Worth, Texas. @the_carillon #mississippiartist #ancientculture by @freelondesigns

About a month ago, I was invited to my first ASID meeting! Thank you @designwithronnie !📈✨🎉 I also had the opportunity to visit the Fabricut showroom, which added another layer of inspiration—seeing materials up close always hits different as a designer. #ASID #oxfordms #dallas #youngprofessionals #interiordesign by @freelondesigns

Revisiting past work is part of the process. These renderings started as early concepts, but with time comes a sharper eye for proportion, material balance, and spatial flow. Design is about more than visuals—it’s about creating environments that feel intentional, functional, and refined from every angle. Growth shows in how you edit, not just what you add. #interiors #residential #freelondesigns #moderndesign #oxfordms by @freelondesigns

Freelon Design Studio's latest project: a bathroom renovation designed and built for my grandparents, now ADA accessible, a pro bono labor of love that feels incredibly rewarding. #freelondesigns #hgtv #remodel #bathroomsofinstagram #memphisdesigner taken in Mississippi by @freelondesigns
