Earning Continuing Education Units is part of my professional responsibility as a licensed and registered interior designer, but I also see it as part of my duty of care to the people who will ultimately experience the spaces I help create.

As designers, one of the most fun parts of our day is connecting with colleagues and industry partners to enjoy learning about industry trends, evolving aesthetics, and new innovations within design. But I also deeply value the education that strengthens the integrity, safety, functionality, and reliability of our profession.

Good design can be about how a space looks. It can also be about how it performs. How it protects. How it supports the people using it every single day.

I’ve always believed education is one of the most powerful ways to expand your skillset, perspective and sense of responsibility as a creative professional. Notice I said ONE, not the only way. I also know, there are many other styles of learning, whether you take a hands-on approach or a structured path. Go with what works for you!

The more I learn (in whatever method that may be) the more intentional I become in the way I approach design, problem-solving, and serving my clients. No matter what path you take, I'm of the mindset that the more you know, the more you grow. I just want to help and be great at it!

Growth, for me, will always be the most important part of the process.

Next up is @khyan_17 —Forces of God. It was drawn with acrylic pens, gold acrylic, and charcoal. This is a full conceptual rendering of my brother’s vision. Wanting to be a powerful light, in god’s eyes, in society today. (18x34)
