Slowly trying to get back onto the horse after the focus being on other things in life. This winter will be time to work on cars and other projects to grow the collection and make the much needed steps to move the museum forward. We ain’t getting any younger. PSA: If you’re a Cincinnati resident this issue is coming up in November. NS is trying to buy a stretch of lines that run down to Chattanooga from the city(the song Chattanooga Choo-Choo was inspired from these lines), and the deal is a joke. This city has had a history of bad deals between the Bengals stadium, the FCC stadium, and the streetcar. If the powers that be would just negotiate a better lease, instead of caving in to the railroad like we caved in before to these other deals, we could generate the same revenue and still have control over the lines #derailthesale by @freightculture

In the O Scale world, new, modern cars aren’t made too often. It’s been years since some boxcars have been released. Just in time to bring back that motivation that was needed for so long. Looking forward to getting these(and some others) lightly weathered for a few of y’all out there. Saddened to hear of the passing of Verbs. He was one of the very first to get on a car for the museum, and helped spark the motivation to do this crazy thing. We will be forever grateful for that. Thoughts going out to his friends and family🙏🏼 #RIPVerbs by @freightculture

One huge way to make changes on a fundamental level in this society is to be an educated consumer. Support businesses that align with your values and empowers you and your neighbors. The first pic is a post I’m sharing of local Black Owned Businesses here in Cincinnati. There are more in the comments of the original post. The second pic is of a website (grabyourwallet.org) with a comprehensive list of companies who supported you know who in some way. We can’t all go and protest, and that is ok. There are other ways to show solidarity. “Putting your money where your mouth is” is one way, and inevitably will be how the People show the corporations that pull the strings who is really in charge. Stay informed, stay safe, and stay alert. It’s going to be a long fight, but together we can make real change locally, nationally, and globally! Just look at other countries doing the same as we are!✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻 by @freightculture

So we thought we’d add some color to the gloomy, rainy weather here in our part of the Midwest. This car was one of the first cars in the collection, and has all four panels done up properly. We always appreciate the work put into these cars, especially trying to coordinate more than one artist. As always, be safe out there everyone.
