Bigger, bolder, and definitely more premium.

Having experienced the AVATR 07 before, one of the first things I noticed with the 11 was just how much bigger it feels. The 11 brings a more substantial presence while keeping that futuristic AVATR design language. I also have to say, I appreciate the active rear spoiler — it’s a small detail, but it adds a nice sporty touch to what is otherwise a very sleek SUV.

Inside, the 11 feels familiar yet noticeably different from the 07. Thankfully, we get a more conventional steering wheel shape here, which I personally found much more natural. The infotainment system was also incredibly smooth and seamless, with everything responding quickly and without any noticeable lag.

The RWD Standard Range puts out 230 kW (308 hp) and 350 Nm, with a 90 kWh battery and up to 616 km of WLTP range. More importantly, I genuinely enjoyed driving the 11 — it feels effortless and composed while still having enough performance to make things interesting.

After spending time with both the 07 and 11, it’s interesting to see how AVATR has taken the same futuristic philosophy and interpreted it in two very different packages.

Big, bold, and built for the family.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 Calligraphy is the top-of-the-line variant of Hyundai’s flagship electric SUV, and it definitely makes a statement. With its futuristic design, spacious three-row cabin and plenty of technology, the IONIQ 9 feels built for families who want comfort without compromising on style.

The second-row captain’s chairs are a particularly nice touch, giving passengers plenty of space and making the cabin feel even more premium. And with support for 350kW DC fast charging, the IONIQ 9 is well suited for those longer road trips — especially for big families who frequently head up north.

On a personal note, I’m really grateful to finally have the chance to experience Hyundai’s cars first-hand — something I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time.

For a large family EV that’s designed around comfort, space and long-distance travel, the IONIQ 9 certainly makes a strong impression.

Some cars just make you think, “I could actually see myself owning this.”

The Zeekr 7X is exactly that for me — my ideal EV, and one I’d genuinely love to call mine someday.

Shot entirely on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P and using D-Log.

Some cars you drive once and move on. Others make you seriously consider putting one in your own driveway. The Zeekr 7X AWD Performance is definitely the latter.

The 7X has always been a strong contender for me when it comes to EVs I could genuinely see myself purchasing. After spending more time with the AWD Performance, I can understand even more why it has stayed high on my list. The instant power, confident handling and overall refinement make this much more than just another fast electric SUV.

And for me, there’s another reason the 7X stands out — it’s the first EV SUV I’ve actually been able to sit in considerably comfortably. At 193cm tall, finding an EV where I can properly settle into the driver’s seat without feeling cramped isn’t always easy. The 7X gets that part right, giving me plenty of room to get comfortable while still retaining a spacious and practical cabin.

The optional Stargate light panel is another cool touch and adds a bit more character to the 7X. Unfortunately, it’s a feature that’s rather limited for the Singapore market, which is a shame because it’s one of those details that really makes the car feel that little bit more special.

Performance aside, what I really appreciate about the 7X is how well it balances everything. Power, comfort, technology, practicality and everyday usability — it manages to bring all of it together without feeling compromised.

A huge thank you to @zeekr_singapore for the opportunity and trust to experience one of my favourite EV models, especially in the AWD Performance guise. Always grateful for the chance to get behind the wheel of cars that I could genuinely see myself owning.

Been waiting for months for this day to finally arrive, and after spending some proper time with the Avatr 07, I can confidently say it lives up to the hype — and my expectations. From the futuristic wide dashboard screen that displays an impressive amount of clear information, to the camera side mirrors that are surprisingly clear, there’s a lot here that makes the 07 feel genuinely different. I’m also a big fan of the headlight and DRL design, which gives the car a really distinctive presence.

The Zero Gravity seats are an absolute highlight, especially for longer journeys, while the Meridian sound system is easily one of the best systems I’ve heard in a car. The adjustable ride height is another feature I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I did, making loading and unloading items from the rear boot noticeably easier. And then there’s the walk-away parking feature — absolutely insane to watch, but admittedly a little scary when you’re standing outside the car with no control over what it decides to do next.

Not everything was immediately familiar though. The steering wheel shape is definitely weird and took me some time to get used to while driving, but once you adapt, the overall experience starts to make a lot more sense. Personally, I’d rank the Avatr 07 as a very strong contender if I were looking to get myself an EV — there’s a lot about this car that genuinely impressed me.

The MG4 Urban is one of those cars that makes a lot of sense for Singapore. It’s not built for the person looking for the highest power figures, the most advanced tech or the longest list of gadgets — and honestly, that’s exactly the point.

Think of it as a “bread-and-butter” EV. It’s designed for people who simply want to get from Point A to Point B comfortably, efficiently and with a bit of style. With 117 hp, 250 Nm of instant torque and up to 405 km of WLTP range, it has everything you really need for everyday city driving.

And because it’s compact, it’s incredibly easy to live with in Singapore. It’s easy to manoeuvre through tight streets, effortless to park, and still has enough character behind the wheel to keep things interesting. Sometimes, you don’t need a car overloaded with technology — you just need one that gets the basics right.

A lot of people have been asking me how the Jaecoo J8 SHS drives, and honestly, the best way I can describe it is — “it drives like how it looks, but in the best way possible.”

It’s big, imposing and has plenty of presence on the road, but behind the wheel, that translates into a drive that feels confident, planted and surprisingly refined. And with 422 bhp and 580 Nm, the J8 SHS definitely has the performance to back up its looks.

It’s also a 3-row SUV, although I’d say it feels more like a 5+2 configuration — perfect for those who occasionally need the extra seats, while still giving you plenty of space for the family and luggage.

But where I think the J8 SHS really shines is on longer journeys. With a claimed combined range of up to 1,300 km, this is the kind of car that makes a road trip up North into Malaysia or even all the way to Bangkok feel genuinely achievable without constantly worrying about where your next fuel stop or charger is.

For someone who loves travelling up North, the combination of space, comfort, power and range makes the J8 SHS a pretty compelling long-distance companion.
Sometimes, a car just feels exactly like what it looks like and with the J8 SHS, that’s definitely a good thing.
