A PUBLIC DISCLAIMER ON MY FINAL YEAR BRETHREN (FYB) COSTUME DAY AND THAT LEGAL COSTUME ⚖️ ⚠️ You see, One of the interesting things about Final Year Week is the diversity it brings with it. Cos each day comes with its own theme, character and expression, and students get the opportunity to step outside the ordinary and have fun in whatever dimension they choose to explore. But I think one of the craziest days of them all was that Costume/Career Day. 😆 And Unilag students with their OVERDO (which I think I like anyway 😂) So, on that costume day, we had all manner of displays and representation from both professions you recognise to characters you never expected to see, and some of them being presented in the most creative and unexpected ways made it all hilarious and exciting. And honestly, that was what made that day so interesting. So Now, somewhere in all of that, I apparently created a small misunderstanding amongst my Online family, my village people and friends who are somehow far away. 😩😂 Cos, A few them have seen my pictures in the legal outfit and assumed I am now a lawyer—or perhaps that I studied Law and are about to hire me to represent them in court Well..I did not o. 🫠😂 It was just a representation of a childhood dream. But now, I believe God has a different plan which eventually took me in a different direction. Thereforeee, My legal costume was just a playful return to an earlier dream and not any indication to mislead and deceive my audience about a profession that I didn’t or, haven’t taken yet. 🤲 And yes, I am very much a proud graduate of Philosophy. 🧠🎓 #disclaimer #fyb #philosophy #law #unilag taken in University of Lagos by @friday_excell

….So, particularly For the culture and tradition, I’d like to drop these JPEGs here for reference and acknowledgement purposes 😝😂 Some weeks ago, I defended my project topic on “Integrity as integral virtue in business ethics. This project topic is generally inspired by almost everything that I stand for, which includes faithfulness, trustworthiness, discipline, transparency and, admirable characters in life and business. As a business person and entrepreneur, I’m one of those who believe A GOOD NAME—Good Business reputation is foundational to the overall success of the business. This research focused on A RICOEURIAN BUSINESS ETHICS. The study examines integrity as an integral virtue in business through the philosophical perspective of Paul Ricoeur. It analyses contemporary organisational practices by engaging Ricoeur’s ethical vision of the good life with others in a just institution. The research argues that integrity is not just a compliance with corporate rules or the protection of brand reputation, but a deeper moral commitment that is rooted in narrative identity, responsibility, and practical wisdom. You see, Many organisations publicly affirm ethical values, yet they struggle to embody them consistently in their decision making, leadership conduct, and stakeholder relations. This inconsistency weakens trust and undermines corporate identity. A Ricoeurian framework provides a corrective approach, by emphasising coherence between declared values and lived practices, and the cultivation of just in institutional structures. Indeed, this entire academic journey has always been helped by God, i thank God for the success of this project and every contribution that i received to the success of the same 👏 #project #defense #unilag #philosophy #business by @friday_excell

Officially Signed Out of University of Lagos!🥹 🎉 A few days ago, I completed my final paper at the University of Lagos and signed out. Words truly can’t capture the gratitude in my heart. This degree represents the mercies and faithfulness of God. I could not have reached this milestone without God, the constant love of my family, the prayers of my spiritual covering, and the incredible well wishes from friends who made this journey lighter and more memorable. The journey was quite long, but so far, God has guided me through it; I’m not falling behind. No, I’m not lagging, No... Everything is working TOGETHER For my good! Thank you Jesus. Thank you for my parents. Thank you for every support system. #graduated🎓 #unilag #signout #philosophy #fyp by @friday_excell

Sometimes what we call pressure is actually privilege. You’re stressed about university assignments, but someone sold family land, took a loan, or worked extra hours just to send you to school abroad. You’re tired of your job, but your father spent years doing work he didn’t enjoy so you could have the education that opened that door. You’re anxious about an interview, while thousands of qualified Nigerians are praying for just one invitation. You’re frustrated that your business isn’t growing fast enough, while someone else is still searching for the capital to begin. Your pressure is real. But so are the sacrifices that gave you the opportunity to carry it. Keep pressure in perspective. Enhorabuena, España 🇪🇸 Este es, sin duda, vuestro año para ser campeones del mundo.
