Omakase botanical design guided by season and instinct. Growing curiosity, creativity & community

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Here we are, with our new ground floor space for workshops and walk-ins. 💛 This is us holding on firmly to the core belief that moved me to open Friday’s Garden 4 years ago in the middle of a global pandemic — Art is needed most where it is least expected. The recent string of headlines on closures has shaken and saddened me. But the way I process grief, is to double-down on creating avenues for art to cushion and inspire. Our workshops and garden sessions form my personal quiet revolution against apathy and the attrition of our independent art and culture scene here. Friday’s team is committed to opening our new home for creativity and community. This isn’t going to be an easy ride, but we are going to work hard to make sure this is going to be so damn worth it. If you’ve been moved by our work to date please spread the word. Help us channel love into our most meaningful chapter yet, and know that whatever struggles you are facing this week, we got your back too. Let’s go xx 💪🏻🌱💛 taken in Singapore / Singapura / 新加坡 / சிங்கப்பூர் by @fridaysgarden

Jungle joget for beautiful couple M & I - two of the sweetest people we’ve had the joy to flower for over the years. Cymbidium, oncidium, monkey tail, nepenthes and palm seeds for their happy day - wish we could share the sweet scent of this bouquet through the screen, unforgettable xx 🌴🌱💛 taken in Singapore / Singapura / 新加坡 / சிங்கப்பூர் by @fridaysgarden

Night 1 at Armenian St, made beautiful by all of you 💛
HOW MUCH FUN WAS THAT?! We loved meeting you, making posies for you, painting you and sharing our little garden with the night.

Today’s agenda:
1. Avoid heatstroke 😂 (thank you to everyone who brought us cold drinks — LIFESAVERS)
2. Actually put our signage up this time
3. Bring in a fresh batch of stunning blooms
4. Make tonight one for the memory bank

One last night! See you at Armenian St, 6–10pm tonight for @wormholesg’s The Other Night, part of @sgnightfest ✨🌱 🖤

Plating a feast before the feast: featuring beehive ginger, lotus pods, slipper orchids, a flurry of nerines and a constellation of echinops breaking free from ever watchful scabiosa. 🪐🌱💛

I love styling tablescapes — thankful to clients who trust me with an open brief, sharing their home as canvas; as an artist there is no greater gift. by @fridaysgarden

I never imagined flowers would lead me here — to being part of @dipgalliancesg , Singapore’s first foundation dedicated to paediatric brain cancer research.

For me, this is deeply personal.

I love Natasha. I’m good friends with her mum, Linda, and our kids grew up together.

So when Linda and her family, together with the families of Mishaal and Katelyn, chose to turn the loss of their children into something that could change the future for other children, I wanted to help in whatever way I could.

That has meant reaching beyond flowers and drawing on an earlier part of my life in branding and creative direction — simply contributing what I know how to do.

But it is the founders who have worked tirelessly to bring people together around this cause: parents, doctors, researchers, friends, creatives and donors. People from completely different worlds, each bringing what they can to move research forward for children.

And that has always been what a garden means to me. You cultivate with intention. Different things take root. They grow alongside each other. And you hope that what grows can nourish, shelter and strengthen those around it.

I could never have known this is what we were tilling the ground for. But I know why we are here.

For Natasha, Mishaal and Katelyn.

And for every child we hope will have more time to grow.

Please follow @dipgalliancesg and the work they are beginning. 💛🌱💙

Soft blush tones and gentle movement — not because softness is fragile, but because it often carries extraordinary resilience.

Nerines emerge after seasons of drought. Spiraea flourishes in poor soils and difficult climates. My favourite Clematis sends its roots deep into cold earth before stretching towards sunlight. Peonies remind us that some of life’s most beautiful things require years of unseen growth before they reveal themselves.

That’s what real influence is like - Not loud. Not hurried.
It belongs to those who continue to root themselves, adapt, and grow through changing seasons, unseen work, and challenging landscapes xx

Sunflowers got no love from a recent poll that we did, which made me double down on trying to share their beauty in a different light. 🌞 Helianthus Annuus “Teddy Bear” has thousands of florets on each head that give it that poofy floofy loveable face. If poofy floofy isn’t scientific enough for you, then okay yeah, researchers think cultivars like ‘Teddy Bear’ may have genetic changes involving the gene HaCYC2c, which helps create all those fluffy petal-like florets instead of the usual dark center. Tomato, tomahto. 🌻🌱💛
