Every song is an archive, a living vessel of sounds, events and souls, and every movement is an archive, carrying stories across generations and delivering wisdom to anyone willing to listen, move and be moved.

And it is October, and the return of the 7th edition of Musical Musings on @stegiradio .

In this El‑Funoun Palestinian Dance Troupe Special @elfunoun_troupe / @friendsofelfunoun , Christina Hazboun welcomes Palestinian dance artist and long‑standing El‑Funoun member Noora Baker @noora.baker , who has been part of the troupe’s heartbeat since 1987. Together, they guide us through a treasure trove of Palestinian history, memory and artistic defiance, revealing the archives and lived experiences that shaped the essential ingredients of El‑Funoun’s timeless musical and dance productions.

Gather close and tune in as we explore how a song slips past prison bars, how the voices of our ancestors rise again, and how carefully chosen tracks from over half a century of El‑Funoun’s musical albums continue to move, teach and liberate.

This is an invitation to listen deeply, to witness how music becomes a keeper of heritage and a spark of collective resilience.

Live broadcast on Stegi Radio 21:00 - 22:00 EE(ST). If you don’t catch us tonight , the broadcast will be archived on my page in a few days with link added to bio. by @friendsofelfunoun

Voices from El Funoun

Majdi and Nader share a few words about El Funoun’s collaboration with SAWA SoCal and an invitation to continue what we started together next year.

This year showed us what’s possible when Palestinian artists and community come together. Now the work continues to make the next one even bigger.

Want to help us bring El Funoun back next year?

And just like that, our auction treasures found their new homes.

Thank you to everyone who donated, bid, and supported! Every piece carried a little bit of Palestine with it and every bid helped support El Funoun and the artists who continue to carry our culture forward.

From @jerusalemroastery to @yummy_yamah , to books donated by @pc4palestine, every donation became part of something bigger.

Mabrouk to our winners, and thank you for showing up for Palestinian art, culture, and community.
