Spot the difference ➡️➡️➡️

Last week I went to D.C. for work and made sure to book the latest flight I could on the way out in order to have a Kendyl childhood day.

Third grade Kendyl was obsessed with American history (I literally spent my summers watching documentaries about it from the Sprague Library), I even raised money to fly myself and my mom to D.C. and spend a week touring all the sites.

So this past week when I had about 6 hours to myself in D.C. I rented a bike and hit as many spots as possible - Walking the National Gallery of Art with only a few hours was torture and also an almost religious experience.

Three college self portraits that John O’Connell made me do over time. You can see that he literally took my titanium white away and said “stop being so ghostly and do better”.
I am honored and lucky to have gotten to spend time painting and discussing art with such a legend.
RIP O’Connell, I hope you get to yell at people about Diebenkorn and Catholicism all day.

Details and design from 6 months ago.

We spent literally countless hours working on every single detail - hand painting signage, place cards, designing “Cruz-ies”, matchbooks, lots and lots of color maps and so much more - I had the best time ever doing it! Time flies and there are lots of photos that deserve a permanent spot on my feed.
Also a huge shout out to our incredible vendors who made this a reality and to my family who jumped in over and over again to assist with this vision. ❤️❤️❤️ taken in Peoa, Utah by @friendyl
