New [very pink & bouncy] release Friday! 🩷🍬

Catchy Phrasin’ is a K-Pop inspired album with funky house and drum & bass rhythms throughout. Think bright, dynamic beats and catchy vocal samples. Quick, snappy short-form content, we got you covered 🫡

Written and produced by @sunwo0othemusician whose delivery is as slick as the beats produced. A real pleasure to work with.

Afterglow ✨

Intimate. Conversational. Beautiful. An emotional body of indie drama works that weaves layers of soft, yet intricate textures.

Another STUNNING album from @thomastoccafondi. Thomas has a uniqueness in his writing, a certain je ne sais quoi, where you really feel the tracks in that space between your heart & your stomach - sounds strange, but take a listen.

POSSESSED, I mean, OBSESSED with this one. There is so much I could write about it.

Unorthodox is an album made of the sound of both visions and nightmares, a unique combination of vocal purity, extreme vocal processing, and hard-edged vintage synth.

@helennoir is a dream to collaborate with. Her vocals alone are a force to be reckoned with. I’m so glad we were working towards the same vision [of nightmares].

An album like no other, quite literally - Helen created almost all bespoke hits and impact, and all vocal recordings exist for this album only.

An amazing job on the mastering by Christoph @archpostaudio

Artwork by Darrell Berry [amazing nightlife photographer as well!]

Thanks Helen! I hope these tracks land on the most sinister and gritty of spots x by @frissonmusiclabel

Chapters - my first album for @frissonmusiclabel - is out today on all streaming platforms 🖤

The piano has been a constant companion to me for most of my life, but I’d somehow never found a way to compose a solo instrumental record. So a huge thank you to Karis at Frisson for the opportunity and encouragement to do so!

Recorded on my grandma’s piano, these songs explore feelings I can’t put into words. Writing them helped process the grief of losing my piano teacher, Liz, who brought so much inspiration, wisdom, fun, and support to my life.

Through these pieces, I’ve felt able to articulate the wilderness of being, with my favourite song - light on the bellies of gulls - about finding joy, freedom and belonging in the beauty of nature and simplicity.

I hope you enjoy 🌅

OUT TODAY! ✨

Chapters is a collection of delicate piano arrangements from composer, @annierewshaw

Each composition delivers on emotion, beauty and poignancy.
Recorded on live piano, the light sound of pedals on the tracks, and the use of felt for soft versions, adds a lovely intimacy and warmth.

Been a pleasure collaborating with Annie on this one, and hoping we can land some special syncs x by @frissonmusiclabel

FSM013 Out Of The Darkness, Into The Light 🌚🌞

Out Of The Darkness, Into The Light is a genre-spanning album from dark, uneasy epic orchestral to mysterious and adventurous fantasy. This album champions cinematic strings and their ability to leave an unfaltering impact on the listener, whichever the genre or mood.

From Golden Hour to Dusk. *ੈ✩‧₊˚

Another STUNNING album from David Roberts. A collection of melancholy electric guitar-led pieces. An eclectic mix of bluesy and raw, urgent and fingerpicked, and slow, considered, mystical tracks.

Perfect for that October melancholy as the Autumnal sun begins to fade 🧡 by @frissonmusiclabel

🌞 G O L D E N H O U R 🌞

I think there is something special in releasing an album that has a certain kismet about it.

The concept of this album initially started as zany art rock.
The composer, David, and I, felt it didn’t quite feel right, so we switched the direction to something that did feel right - an album of minimal, lush, atmospheric guitars.

Golden Hour felt like an apt title, for its warmth, and its softness. Reflecting on that title writing this post, I have since realised that Golden Hour also refers to the first hour after birth, the first hour of mother and baby bonding.

I became a mother in April last year, and have since had some of the warmest, softest moments of my life. Perhaps subconscious, perhaps serendipity, the release of this album certainly feels special to me, and hopefully will go on to soundtrack lots of other special moments.
