Yo! What up peeps!🐥 I’ve been wanting to make an introduction post for a while, but I’m a perfectionist and get easily distracted so that combo works against me at times. Nonetheless, we persist. ~~~ For the new peeps; hello! I’m a self taught mestiza artist that has periods of focus on certain disciplines. In other words, I’m an unserious girl taking playtime seriously. A chronic dabbler. A vessel plagued with visions. I’ve struggled with the concept of assigning myself to just one medium. I reject the idea that an artist has to “choose one”, my interests are multifaceted and I’d like to believe that those who follow me appreciate that.🙂‍↕️ ~~~ I first made this account back in 2019, because I had a large archive of photos that were burning a metaphorical hole in my ’puter. I would post sporadically, years pass -and I sort of lose my artistic spirit. Life events, covid and self-reflection push me to reach for the paintbrush and acrylic paint. I start posting stuff other than my photography. Which snowballed into me eventually facilitating community events. Now, I dedicate this profile to share what projects I’m working on which falls under an umbrella of endless possible subcategories.🥸 ~~~ It’s easy to doubt yourself when there’s little support around you. I faced a lot of doubt, mainly from myself, but consistency is what showed me what I’m capable of. When I look back, I’m able to appreciate all the small steps it took me to get to this point — despite the imposter syndrome and the horrors that persist. I’m not saying it ever stops or goes away, but in the consistency l was also able to meet people who see me & inspire me to continue. Mentors, peers, friends that helped me get better at my various crafts. I’m proud to be an amalgamation of those who support me.🪞 ~~~ I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m just out here learning, growing, playing... Using a little bit of this and a little bit of that and a whole lot of nat. ~~~ PS: memes are how I’m comfortable being perceived at the moment, so the pic of me is a bonus for reaching 1000 followers! 🤪 Lastly: if you’re reading this, I hope something good happens to you today⭐️ by @from.nat

La niña con los ojos tristes 12x18” Mixed Media on Canvas (Oil,Acrylic,paper,thread) This piece started off with oil, then I added acrylic to the conversation… time passes & out come the collage-style letters…. more time & then I start sewing eyes to the face. In 2023 is when I started this “self portrait”, 3 years later and I’m finally satisfied. It felt more like a representation of the “witness” rather than myself, especially at such a young age. The inspiration for this piece is in the last slide, and the only progress pic is right before it. If you’re reading this, you’re special to me. 💌 ttyl peeps by @from.nat
