I’m excited to share that I’ve updated my website to reflect the work I feel most passionate about and am stepping into in this next chapter of my life. For over a decade, I’ve facilitated movement and group spaces, and through this journey, I’ve been exploring the offerings and spaces I truly desire to hold.

I’ve discovered that my work lives at the intersection of the psychological, physical, and spiritual — a place where my studies in dance, yoga, Reiki, somatics, psychology, and ritual practices come together and flourish.

@FromBreathtoBeing encapsulates this vision: the power of the voice, the wisdom of the body, and the soulful connection that emerges through embodied consent and presence.

If any of this resonates with you, please check out my site frombreathtobeing.com and reach out to learn more about my offerings. 🌿

I’ve been reflecting on what makes a sacred space. For me, it must include protection, discernment, and respect for both personal and collective boundaries. Joshua Shrei’s words on how protection and feeling coexist in the natural world influenced the design of my new workshop series, BodyTalk:

“Animals that have horns and quills allow them to protect and feel at the same time. The fact that they are guarded means they feel more… It’s good to be guarded. Everything in nature has its porosities and its boundaries. The body is a house. The heart-mind is a house. The consciousness is a house. Let us be discriminating about what we let in.”

Simply put, protection allows us to feel more.

This was a central theme in last weekend’s BodyTalk workshop. Through somatic movement and partnered energetic touch exercises, we prioritized honoring the heart’s protection over heart opening—moving slowly and consciously with each step toward connection with Self and others.

Out of respect for participants, there is no video footage or photography of the workshop itself, only of the space where the magic happened. 🪷

I’ll be hosting these monthly through June, with a maximum of 8 participants. April dates coming soon! by @frombreathtobeing

Hey all! 🌿

I’ve been quiet on here the past couple of months as I moved and started grad school for clinical psychology. Through hosting Garden Yoga & Tea events over the past year, I discovered new possibilities for healing and connection through movement. My desire to lean into more of this—beyond what the yoga container could hold—led me to reflect on what kind of offerings align most with my deeper “why” for facilitating gatherings. These reflections inspired the creation of BodyTalk, a new somatic co-regulation workshop series. The first BodyTalk workshop will take place on Saturday, March 22, from 12–3 PM in Echo Park.

BodyTalk is a somatic co-regulation workshop exploring connection to self and others through the body’s energy centers, starting with the heart. Through guided exercises, we will cultivate sensitivity to the heart’s inner voice, learning to recognize when there’s a yes to being witnessed and when there’s a yes to remain with oneself. This will be a primarily nonverbal practice.

The workshop includes:
✨ Opening circle
✨ Somatic movement practice
✨ Dyadic heart intimacy exercises
✨ Integration groups
✨ Closing circle

Interested and have questions? Send me a DM. You can sign up for the workshop using the link in my bio. 🫶🏻 taken in Echo Park, CA by @frombreathtobeing

~ I am whole. What I am seeking is whole. ~

On my spiritual journey toward healing and liberation, I have often placed more effort and awareness on the wounded aspects of myself than on my inherent wholeness, which I believe is the truest form of me and every person. While acknowledging and addressing our internal struggles is essential for healing, overidentifying with our emotional and psychological states can make us feel fragmented and disconnected from ourselves and others. The lies, shame, and damaging patterns we enact are simply conditioning from the imprints (samskaras) of past learnings and experiences, resulting in us feeling broken or not-whole. But they are not us. They are simply mud on the lens through which we view our internal and external worlds. So, what would it look like to call our wholeness to the forefront while simultaneously clearing the mud that blurs our perception? I don’t view this affirmation as a call for toxic positivity but rather an invitation to separate my identity from this mud and call it what it is — mud. Not mine, and not me. Not yours, and not you. Because at our core, we are good, complete, whole beings. Both you and I are whole.

This theme is what we reflected on, discussed, and embodied in today’s Garden Yoga practice. Each session is different. I bring to the collective what is most alive for me in my own personal process, and each time, it amazes me how everyone offers their unique wisdom and truth. It’s a remarkable co-creation we do here in this little community. 🤍 by @frombreathtobeing

During our yoga practice last weekend, we explored what connection to ourselves and others looks like from the head/mind, the heart, and the gut, and what it feels like when these three centers or “minds” are alive and integrated within us ~

Join me in the Garden for reflection and mindful movement on June 8 & 22. Reserve at the link in my bio. 🌿 taken in Thai Town, Los Angeles by @frombreathtobeing

Some questions I’ve been marinating on ~
What is my relationship with earth? How does the earth support me? What would it look and feel like to surrender into the earth? taken in Thai Town, Los Angeles by @frombreathtobeing

Moments from this past weekend’s intention setting sessions. 💫

After journaling and a share circle, we engaged in energy and breathwork exercises, moved into a yin practice that incorporated reiki healing, and closed with a yoga Nidra practice (guided meditation). Through the presence, receptivity, and open hearts each person offered to the collective, we built a magical container that honored the pain, joy, and transformation that took place in 2023 while also giving space for renewed vision and reclamation of self in preparation for 2024.

I will be hosting these longer form sessions quarterly, so stay tuned for future events! 🌿 by @frombreathtobeing

“Look how far we’ve come” was today’s Garden Yoga theme. With only a few weeks remaining of 2023, it’s only natural to focus on what’s ahead, to set intentions, and make plans. Before shifting into this energy, there is power in witnessing and celebrating the journey that brought us to this turn of the year, especially when expressed in community. 🙏🏻

I’m hosting a new year’s event on December 30, so stay tuned! It’s going to be a special one. ✨ by @frombreathtobeing
