It was a fantastic opening Thursday night at the studio.
The energy was great from start to finish.
Here’s a pic from one of the classes -
Our talented TEEN Musical Theatre

Our tap classes saw a substantial increase in students this year. When we asked the new students what made them try tap this year, they said when Sonny took the stage and did her tap solo at the Variety Show, they said I want to do that someday .
Hey Sonny, you made a difference in children’s lives that night.
Which is what STS is all about
I could write more, but I’m too busy crying my eyes out.
Thank you Sonny for the many years. And for inspiring the next generation.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thrilled to announce that our good friend, Joey LaVarco is back!!
Joey will be working with our Saturday morning acting students in 4 to 5 week intervals throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students. Joey made his directorial debut with us. He directed a terrific production of 13 the musical. The cast loved him!! And now we’ll see him on selected Saturdays throughout the year!

Joey LaVarco is a Broadway, television, and regional theater performer. He made his Broadway debut in the original cast of 13: The Musical and has since appeared as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on both the national tour and Off-Broadway at New World Stages. His additional theater credits include productions with Goodspeed Musicals, The Cape Playhouse, Lexington Theatre Company, the John W. Engeman Theater, and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Most recently, Joey played Barry Mann in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at The Argyle Theatre. On screen, Joey has appeared on NBC’s 30 Rock, Late Night with Seth Meyers, ABC’s What Would You Do?, and lent his voice to Nickelodeon’s The Wonder Pets!. He is thrilled to return to From Stage to Screen after directing 13 last year. Joey is passionate about helping young performers build confidence, tell truthful stories, and discover the joy of live performance.

***And the icing on the cake, Joey, who has an extensive background performing in Jersey Boys, will be heading up a fundraiser for our STS family and friends. Former Jersey Boys cast mates will be joining. Plus a few surprise performances.
A major portion of the proceeds will go towards refurbishing and adding to the From Stage to Screen studios***

please give a warm welcome, to Mr. Joey LaVarco. Yes, we’re very excited. by @fromstage2screen
