Those BIG BEAUTIFUL EYES.

When a young performer has big, expressive eyes, I want to use them. :) Incredible.

Hair can completely change how a young actor reads on camera.

Pull it back and suddenly we see more of the face, the eyes and a completely different kind of confidence.
Hair down can feel softer and more youthful.

Some young actors just nail the dramatic look.

They don't force it.

They just know how to get quiet, connect to the camera and let their eyes do the work.

"I AM ENOUGH"
Today we discussed the importance of being your true self even when in character. Bringing your own unique values to your role as an actor or dancer. Using breathwork to calm the body before performances and focus to connect with people.

The short film “The Scholarship” made with a group of young learning actors at @fromstage2screen has been selected for the New York Lift-Off Film Festival!! We need your help to get further into the competition.

We are listed under the category of “Local Filmmakers Shorts”. Go to the link to purchase a public voting ticket and vote for “The Scholarship”. And be sure to spread the word!

What a wonderful way to end the school year—Gabriel’s Vocal Recital! He has grown so much this year under the guidance of @extramordenary , and this is only the beginning.

Stepping away from dance competition was a big decision, but he was welcomed with open arms into the @fromstage2screen family and has truly found a place where he can do it all. He has gained so much confidence, made incredible memories, and is already counting down the days until next year.

A huge thank you to Gene, Jenn, Brent, Nicolina, Adam, and Kirby for everything you’ve done to make this such an amazing year for him. Your support, encouragement, and belief in Gabriel have meant more than words can express. ❤️

Here is “Some Enchanted Evening” from South Pacific and “Electricity” from Billy Elliot.

Enjoy! ❤️
