Some days I’m so focused on everything I still want to fix, change, or figure out that I forget how much I’ve already made it through.

And then I think about the people I wish were still here to see it.

The ones who knew older versions of me. The ones who saw me before some of the hardest years, before the changes, before all the things I had to learn the long way.

I’d like to think they’d be proud of the person I’m still becoming.

Maybe that’s enough of a reminder to be a little easier on myself.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how easy it is to spend entire days stressed over things that probably won’t matter nearly as much as we think they do.

Meanwhile, the stuff that sticks with me is usually simple time with people I care about, a good conversation, seeing somewhere new, making something I’m proud of, laughing until my stomach hurts.

I’m trying to get better at giving more of my energy to the things I know I’d miss if they were gone.

That feels like a better way to spend the time I have.

I think I’d pay more attention.

To the people I thought would always be around. The random nights that didn’t seem important at the time. The places I couldn’t wait to leave. The version of myself who had no idea how much life was about to change.

I don’t think I’d try to fix everything.

I’d probably just slow down enough to realize I was already living moments I’d someday miss.

I think a lot of relationships get complicated because people expect each other to just know.

Know what they meant. Know what hurt. Know what they needed. Know when something changed.

And sometimes by the time anyone actually says it out loud, too much has already gone unsaid.

I’m learning that being clear can feel uncomfortable in the moment, but silence usually costs more.

I don’t think every bad thing happens for some big reason.

But I do think going through hard stuff changes the way you move after it.

You learn what you won’t accept anymore. You see who actually shows up. You stop taking certain things for granted.

And eventually, something that used to feel impossible to get through just becomes part of your story.

I wouldn’t choose every lesson I’ve had to learn, but I can’t pretend they didn’t teach me something.

I think what keeps me moving is having things that still make me feel something.

Creating. Traveling. Seeing people I love. Finding new places. Laughing way too hard at something stupid. Having a random day turn out better than I expected.

I’m really guilty of always having something I’m waiting for.

The next trip. The next weekend. The next goal. The next version of life where I somehow have more time and everything feels a little easier.

And then I realize how much of my actual life is happening in the middle of all that waiting.

So I’m trying to get better at enjoying the random Tuesday, the drive home, the coffee run, the small win, the night with people I love, the hour I get to create something just because I want to.

I still want more out of life.

I just don’t want to miss the life I already have while I’m chasing it.

I used to give everything a full investigation.

For a long time I made posting way harder than it needed to be.

I’d overthink who was watching, what people might think, whether the video was good enough, whether it fit my page… and half the time I’d end up not posting anything at all.

Lately I’ve been trying to care less about looking perfect and more about actually putting things out, learning what works, getting better, and letting people see the process.

And the funny part is, the more I post, the more I realize most people aren’t judging nearly as much as you think they are.

Sometimes someone is actually watching and thinking, “maybe I should try too.”

That makes the awkward part of starting feel pretty worth it.

Every once in a while I stop and think about how much of my life I never could’ve planned.

The places I’ve ended up. The people I’ve met. The people I’ve lost. The versions of myself I had to outgrow just to get here.

There are moments I wish I could relive, people I wish I had more time with, and so many things I probably didn’t realize were special until they were already over.

So I’m trying to be better about actually noticing my life while I’m in it.

Because even with all the hard parts, I still get to be here. I still get to create, travel, love people, make memories, and see what happens next.

And I think that’s pretty rare.
