Barret’s Best pawpaws, this graft was made in 2022, and has fruited the last three seasons. I still feel like this selection can make larger fruit, but so far it has not been as good as the original tree(size wise) flavor and texture are still really good. Typically my first to ripen along with Nyomi’s Delicious. Have you had a pawpaw this year yet?

First ripe pawpaw for the season! Barret’s Best, local seedling I found and grafted at home.

Very delicious fruit and way better than any wild pawpaw I have ever had.

Do pawpaws actually need shade?

Like most things in life it depends.

Good soil moisture, high organic matter, heavy mulch, protected microclimate, and really long hot humid growing season. I have hit the pawpaw growing lottery, and I want to help other folks grow pawpaws as well. #pawpaw #asiminatriloba #syntropicagriculture #agroforestry by @fruitfullridge
