Halloween is getting pawsome at The Fruit Market! 🐶👻 On 31st October, 10am–2pm, The Fruit Market, Oakwood Dog Rescue and Lili & Mila are bringing some Halloween fun for your four-legged friends! 🧡

Pick up a FREE trick-or-treat bag from one of the stalls, then set off around The Fruit Market and visit dog-friendly retailers and restaurants collecting some tasty treats along the way! 🦴🎃

Donations are welcome for Oakwood Dog Rescue 💚

👨‍🎨Let us introduce you to one of our brilliant artists…
@beardedmoon 🎨🌛✨

Meet Simon Cooper, the designer and maker behind Bearded Moon.
Based in Nottinghamshire, Simon founded Bearded Moon in 2022, swapping a long career in IT for a more creative and fulfilling path.
Working from his home studio, Simon creates laser-cut, hand-painted wooden jewellery inspired by British wildlife and botany. Drawing inspiration from nature illustration, linocut and stained glass, his designs combine bold, vibrant colour with delicate details and plenty of character.
Each piece is designed, painted and assembled by Simon using FSC-certified, sustainably produced wood, with a focus on creating distinctive, affordable jewellery that brings a little joy to everyday style.
And the name Bearded Moon? Simon is also known as Moon…and he has a beard!🌝✨

Right guys, this is it. It's the big one but bigger because this year we are doing a TWO DAY market for Christmas. That's Saturday the 5th and Sunday 6th December 10:30-16:00. And you will be needing to put both dates in your diary because we will have a completely different line-up of traders each day so you have to come for both right?

As always, we have a Santa tier line-up of over 90 indie makers, creators, artists, bakers, movers and shakers across the weekend. There's plenty of your fave faces but also loads of newbies. We can promise you that there won't be a single bit of AI or mass produced in sight! Give us a wave in the comments in you're a human that is trading with us 👋🏼

Imagine two days of Good Things in a row! Between the market and all of the glorious independent shops down Humber Street, you are going to get soooo much Christmas shopping done!

Did we mention that this one is two days? See you there x2!

Congratulations to world-renowned artist, Annabel McCourt, who has been selected to create a new permanent sculpture for Hull’s waterfront! 🌊

@annabelmccourt_artist , recently presented 'The Hate Circuit' installation at this year’s @FreedomFestHull. Now, her proposal Resonant Tides (After the Strike) has been chosen for @FruitMarketHull, where the River Hull meets the Humber estuary 🏞️

The artwork has been commissioned by @Wykeland Group alongside the Brignall family and Dominic Gibbons 🎨

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported The Sound of Your Own Voice exhibition and purchased a piece of artwork.

The works pictured here are just some of the pieces that have already found new homes. Each artwork has been personally created by the residents of Westbourne House and artist // project lead @amy_aprecious ❤️

We’re so proud to say that over half of the artworks have now sold! Thank you to everyone who has chosen to support the residents and the work we’ve created together.

There’s still time to visit, but please don’t miss out! We close on Sunday 11th October — our final opening day.

🕥 Weekdays: 10:45am–5pm
🕙 Weekends: 10am–4pm

All artworks created by participants are sold in support of the Social Inclusion Fund at Westbourne House, helping to provide opportunities, experiences and support for residents.

Thank you for believing in the work, supporting our artists and helping us make a difference. 🧡

🖼️ Over half sold — come and see the exhibition before it closes!
