When it comes to the three R’s, reduce comes first for a reason.

Recycling and reusing can help keep materials in circulation, but reducing waste at the source means fewer materials need to be produced, used, and eventually thrown away. Choosing products with less packaging, bringing your own reusable items, and buying only what you need are simple ways to start.

The best waste is the waste we never create ♻️ by @fsusustainable

Where does the rain go after it hits campus, your apartment, or your neighborhood?

Stormwater runoff can pick up everyday pollutants, like fertilizer, oil, litter, and pet waste, and carry them into local waterways. If you live, work, or go to school in Tallahassee, your everyday choices can affect the water around you. The City of Tallahassee’s Think About Personal Pollution (@tapp_water) program provides practical tools to help keep runoff cleaner before it reaches a storm drain.
