The scariest thing on campus? Litter where it doesn’t belong!

Our Waste Management team works hard to keep campus clean, and students, staff, and visitors can help keep the spooky stuff to Halloween by disposing of waste properly and recycling whenever possible. ♻️

Let’s work together to keep FSU beautiful, clean, and sustainable. Because a little effort goes a long way in keeping our campus from turning into a haunted mess!

Our latest Weigh the Waste results are in! ♻️

This semester, we partnered with @fsusustainable to measure food waste during breakfast at Suwannee Room! We found that only 27.32 lbs of food was returned to the dish return!

Together, we can keep our plates clean and our campus green!

Shoutout to Jacob Youngblood, Director of Athletic Grounds, for being a Community Waste Station Champion!

Community Waste Station Champions are FSU employees who don’t use a personal waste bin in their office and instead bring their waste to a shared community station. Why does that matter?

🗑️ Better sorting: Taking waste to a centralized station makes it easier to separate trash and recycling, helping prevent recyclables from being thrown away or contaminated.
♻️ Less plastic: Fewer individual office bins means fewer plastic liners and bags being used.
🧹 More efficient custodial service: Without individual bins to empty, our custodial team can spend more time focusing their efforts where they’re needed across campus.

Thanks, Jacob, for showing how one simple change can make a difference across FSU!

Hey FSU friends! ♥️ 💛
Science communication is a critically important skill today. Many of our past interns secured jobs due, in part, to the edge their science communication training gave them. Please consider taking this fall semester class with our communication director.

About 20 spots open right now during FSU drop/add!
