Hi everyone! 👋 Nina here, thought I’d introduce myself after lots of lovely new followers found us through the brilliant @lscoffeeandbookshop video — the BFG snozzcumber made me lol 😂 - did you guess what it was? 😜

I’m the one behind FTMicroFarm Share+ — my CSA pilot running until the end of November, with help from my mum, dad and Chris & Liz @thevalegrocer 💜 I’m currently learning all about horticulture alongside doing a customer service apprenticeship @ftmicrofarm , I got inspired by some incredible growers recently and I’m taking on some of the field to see what I can do - we need more Welsh food on Welsh plates! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌱👩‍🌾

The CSA idea is a monthly membership, with weekly or fortnightly £20 farm Shares. That’s still what I’d love people to sign up on our website for, because regular members help me plan ahead and hopefully grow my Share+ scheme into something bigger next year.

BUT… L’s had a brilliant idea to help me!

They’ve very kindly offered to be a Conwy collection point, so while I’m testing everything out, we’re going to give it a go.

🥕 Fancy trying a £20 Share+ without signing up for the month?

Message me @ftmicrofarm by 3pm on Mondays, and I’ll put one together ready for you to collect from L’s on Tuesday.

Each Share will have a good mix of the best seasonal produce available that week — grown at @ftmicrofarm and topped up through @thevalegrocer where needed. It’ll be a little different each week depending on what’s looking best.

That’s what this pilot is for — trying things, listening to what people want and finding out what works. 💜

And if you’re new here, hello! 👋 Thanks for following my little CSA pilot and hopefully helping me turn it into something bigger next year.

Nina x 💜

💜🌱 A LITTLE LOCAL HELP GOES A LONG WAY 🎉

We’re delighted to share that @poyntonsbutchers in Old Colwyn have very kindly offered to become a collection point for Nina’s FTMicroFarm Share+ vegetable boxes! 🥕🥬

A long-established family business, Poyntons have been championing quality Welsh produce and traditional family values for many years.

There’s something really special about an established family business supporting the next generation. 💜

For Nina, this means reaching more local customers, reducing delivery miles and fuel costs, and making her little venture that bit more sustainable.

And for you? Collect your £20 Share+ of seasonal vegetables and pick up something lovely for dinner while you’re there! 🥕🥩

Small businesses supporting small businesses. Families supporting families. That’s what community is all about. 🫶

A huge thank you to everyone at Poyntons for giving Nina this opportunity. It really does mean a lot!

Please join us in wishing Georgia — Nina to her friends — a very Happy 18th Birthday! 🥳💜🌱

It’s hard to believe the little girl in these photos is officially 18 today… and even harder to believe just how much she’s achieved since joining the family business.

We’re incredibly proud of the young woman she’s become — although looking back through these photos, we’re not entirely sure where those 18 years disappeared to! 😭

Happy 18th Birthday, Nina. 🥂🎂

Here’s to whatever you decide to grow next. 🌱💜

Lots of love

Hello soup & toastie season 🥣🧀🍂

What’s your favourite soup & toastie combo? 😋

The time of year, spending 12 months prepping for and growing squash suddenly feels like an exceptionally good life choice 😂

Our squash, tomatoes, onions, garlic, chillies… turned into something warm, comforting and involved a potentially unreasonable amount of cheese. 🧀🤭

P.S. Notice anything missing? 🌱🙈

Massive thank you for all the extra microgreen orders last week — Steve sold our own supply again 😎

So tonight’s garnish is… salt and pepper 🤣

Not a bad problem for a tiny farm to have. 🫶🌱

Week 2: @ftmicrofarm Share+ 🌱💜

Week two packed! Hope you all enjoy your Shares 💜

Also, the results are in… box vs bag was 50/50! 😂 So for October I’m going to try giving members a choice and see how I get on.

I’m trying to keep Share+ as simple as possible, but that’s the whole point of this little pilot — getting your feedback, trying things out and finding out what works 🌱

If you’d like to join me for October, the link is in the bio.

Thank you so much for all your support

I need your help! Box or bag? 📦🛍️🤔

I packed my first @ftmicrofarm Shares in boxes this week, but while I was packing I tried one of our stamped paper bags 👀🌱

I really like it! But! The boxes are probably the sensible choice, the Share was surprisingly heavy once I filled it 💪

I do think the bags look a bit more special and classy though … and they might be easier to recycle at home too? 🤷‍♀️

If this was your Share+ arriving at your door, which would you rather?

📦 BOX or 🛍️ BAG?

Let me know what you think 🙌
