Lovers Lane takes its name from Mulholland Drive, where couples have pulled off for a hundred years to watch the city lights come on below.⁠

There is something lovely about an aquatic, particularly in summer. Americans love them, and for good reason. They are fresh and clean, and speak to our love of time spent by the water. The problem is, we find many of them terribly boring.⁠
⁠
Ghost Trees was our attempt to rethink an ocean scent. We drew on the surf spot on California's Monterey Peninsula, known for its giant waves and for the gnarled trees that give the place its name. We wanted a scent that felt less like a familiar, anodyne "watery" scent, and more like an olfactive homage to the power and mystery of the ocean.⁠

Ghost Trees still holds the aquatic notes we love in summer, opening with Juniper, Pink Peppercorn, and Ocean Ozonics. But it carries the feeling of standing beside the massive, crashing waves of the Pacific, a sensation you feel resonate in your chest, through White Cypress, Ocean Air, and Salted Sea at the heart. Ghost Wood, Elemi, and Driftwood give it a saltiness and a woody complexity that make it not just a summer scent, but a year-round staple in your collection. by @fultonandroark

There's a scent you already love, and you never bought it. It's the smell of the person you love, up close, before any fragrance touches them. We wanted to build something that celebrates that instead of covering it up. Cloudland starts with skin musks that work with your own body chemistry rather than overpowering it. ⁠

From there we layered in Petrichor, that sharp, electric smell right before a summer rain, along with Jasmine, Moss, and a touch of Citrus. Each one is lovely on its own, but they are built to sit back and let the unique scent of your skin shine through. Consequently, Cloudland smells a little different on everyone who wears it, because it was built around you. Clean, confident, and quietly yours. by @fultonandroark

Roark's Cove is a fragrance full of motion. It was inspired by a bike ride on Roark's Cove Road, a beautiful but challenging route that winds through the mountains of Tennessee. Our perfumer, Frank Voelkl, wanted to capture that feeling.⁠

"There is a great deal happening in this fragrance, and much of it is about being in motion. It opens fresh: bergamot, verbena, a touch of spice, bright and uplifting. Then it settles into something warmer, earthier, more woody, almost creamy beneath.⁠
⁠
I favor fragrances built simply, yet where the notes keep moving in and out: the freshness returns, the wood comes forward, then spice, then citrus again. It is a bit like sunlight moving through a forest, shifting with the wind. That is the effect I was chasing. Each time you return to it, there is something new to find."⁠

One of the notes doing a great deal of that moving is Cloudberry.⁠
⁠
It will likely smell somewhat familiar at first. Cloudberry sits in the same family as the berry notes found in many other fragrances, so the nose recognizes the shape of it right away. But it is not raspberry, and it is not blackberry. Cloudberry grows wild in cold northern climates, and it carries a tart, almost honeyed quality that reads more golden than red. Less jammy sweet. A little sharper, a little stranger. Close enough to place. Not close enough to name.⁠

That is exactly why it keeps pulling you back in. You catch the citrus up top, feel the oak and moss settle in underneath, and cloudberry flickers through again: familiar, but not quite. That is the motion Frank was describing. A fragrance built to keep moving, so every wear turns up something new. by @fultonandroark

We're happy to tell you about the notes in each of our fragrances. We love telling the stories of the places that inspired the scent, and we're proud of the perfumers who developed them. Yet, none of those things matter as much as how a fragrance makes you feel. by @fultonandroark

Lady Bird is a celebration of Texas wildflowers and the joy of sharing beauty with others. Delicate notes of Black Jack blossoms intermingle with the powdery whisper of Bluebonnets, before opening to reveal the velvety Rose offset by the brightness of Freesia. Notes of Raspberry and Pink Pepper add a spark of complexity to the assortment.
