We are over the moon to announce that our next in-store event, and our official 10th Anniversary Party, will be more of a social event than our standard ticketed Q & A events, and will rightfully center on the beloved Portland perfume brand @imaginaryauthors and their incredible newest release, Impassable Wilderness. Imaginary Authors has been with Fumerie since day one, all ten years, and is likely responsible for more folks’ interest in artful, playful, and independent perfumery than any other brand we carry! Join us, as well as Josh Meyer (Imaginary Authors’ perfumer and Co-Founder) and Ashod Simonian (Imaginary Authors’ Creative Director and Co-Founder), after hours Sunday, October 25th from 4:30 - 7 PM to mingle with fellow smell nerds and community members, explore Impassable Wilderness and other Imaginary Authors fragrances, and enjoy some fun surprises from our friends & neighbors! Enjoy Imaginary Authors-inspired cocktails and mocktails from our next-door neighbors at @1919pdx and some surprises from our friends down the street (and Imaginary Authors collaborators), @saltandstraw as well! This informal social event will not only be a great opportunity to celebrate Fumerie’s anniversary and meet other members of this wonderful community, but it will equally serve as the Grand Premier of Impassable Wilderness, a fragrance co-created by the team behind the film Wildwood by local production studio Laika! To help us celebrate the launch of this Portland-themed collaboration, @bagdadtheater has been kind enough to collaborate with us for our party as well; by providing folks with the opportunity to experience Impassable Wilderness in the most ideal way possible: right after seeing the film that inspired it! We are proud to announce that not only will we be sponsoring the North American premiere of Memorie Olfattive at the Tomorrow Theater, but we are also thrilled to share that Meo Fusciuni & his wife and creative partner, Federica Castellani, will be joining us all the way from their home in Italy for the premiere screening, as well as a Q & A after the film, and some mingling and bottle signing before! Memorie Olfattive is a film documentary about perfumer and visionary @meofusciuni_parfums exploring his life and creative process. The film beautifully follows his early beginnings and path into the present, exploring themes of identity and personal transformation. film born from the desire to reveal what often remains unseen: the emotions, places, and memories that give life to every creation.” Fumerie is honored to be introducing this meaningful and visually stunning film at @pam_cut November 10th, at 6:45 pm. Just beyond the city of Portland in the Pacific Northwest, there’s a place where people just don’t go. The forest is too deep. The hills are too steep. Overgrown and impassable, these woods have remained hidden for generations from the world outside. Prue McKeel, however, desperately needs to get inside. Her baby brother Mac has been snatched up by a murder of beady-eyed crows and carried away into the darkest depths of the forest, and she has to save him. But what started out as a rescue mission becomes something much more. This is the story of a girl who learns how far she must go to hold on to the ones she loves, and of a woman who never learned to let go. It is a tale of love, loss, sacrifice and secrets, and of the magic you can find on your doorstep, if you are willing to look for it. Portland is a small town, and we’re fortunate to have such a tight-knit creative community. Imaginary Authors has ties to many talented members of the LAIKA team, including the Production Designer of WILDWOOD, Nelson Lowry, who happens to be a big fan of niche fragrances from around the world and helped develop this fragrance with them. We are thrilled and honored to announce that Fumerie is now the only official #slumberhouse retailer in the world! We are also excited to share that samples of Ore and Sådanne are live NOW! There is a strict limit of one sample of each fragrance for each customer/ household. Bottles of both fragrances will be available at exactly 12 pm (noon) PST, Saturday, October 10th. If you need to sample a Slumberhouse fragrance before making a purchase, now is your chance! There will be no opportunity to ponder this purchase on the day of its release; our last public release sold out in 30 seconds! Those who add a bottle to their cart and check out first will be the lucky few who will secure a bottle of Ore or Sådanne.
