Funky Blackman - Mulembe (Afro House)
Beatport Hype - Afrohouse #24

#funkyblackman #housemusic #music #kenya #Afrohouse

Funky Blackman returns with “Mulembe,” a deep Afro-soulful house journey built around rhythm, space, musicality, and patient progression.

Running over seven minutes at approximately 117 BPM, “Mulembe” takes its time. A restrained opening gives DJs room to work before the production gradually unfolds through layered percussion, warm low-end movement, rhythmic textures, and musical elements that deepen the groove without overcrowding it.

Rather than chasing an oversized drop, “Mulembe” creates tension and release through arrangement. Spacious passages allow the record to breathe before the rhythm rebuilds and returns with greater dance-floor weight, giving the track the feeling of a journey rather than a sequence of obvious peaks.

Rooted in the deeper, soulful side of African-influenced house music, “Mulembe” is made for selectors who value groove, atmosphere, and records that reveal themselves over time. Its extended arrangement and measured tempo make it equally suited to long blends, deeper opening passages, and transitions into more driving territory.

At its core, “Mulembe” reflects Funky Blackman’s approach to house music: give the music space, respect the rhythm, and let the groove carry the record.

Hello people - Excited to finally share my latest release Afro House track - , Emergency.
Bandcamp - > https://funkyblackman.bandcamp.com/album/emergency
Traxsource Promo - > https://www.traxsource.com/track/14821319/emergency

Music for discerning ear!!!!
This record comes from a simple place: creating music that feels timeless. I wanted to capture the kind of groove that keeps a dancefloor moving long after the first drop—rolling percussion, a deep, driving bassline, soulful textures, and an arrangement that unfolds naturally from beginning to end.

Emergency was made for DJs who appreciate records they can build a set around, and for music lovers who know that the best house tracks reveal something new with every listen. Every sound was crafted with intention to deliver warmth, energy, and emotion, whether you're hearing it through headphones or on a world-class club sound system.

If you've supported my music before, thank you. Your encouragement allows me to keep creating independent music from the heart. If you haven't heard Emergency yet, I'd love for you to check it out, add it to your collection, and support the release by purchasing your copy.

Every purchase, download, playlist add, chart, and share makes a real difference and helps keep independent house music alive.

🎧 Get your copy today and let me know where you're playing it—I can't wait to hear your feedback.

Thank you for being part of this journey. by @funkyblackman
