Several years ago, I was healing from a divorce, raising a two-year-old son, and learning how to stand on my own again. I didn’t know then that love would find me so gently… and so deeply.

People say love isn’t easy—and they’re right. Our journey hasn’t been perfect. It’s been filled with real life: ups and downs, joy and loss, growth and GRACE. But through it all, I have never known a love that feels this safe, this secure, this steady.

Shun loves me in a way that feels like home. He makes me feel protected, cherished, and chosen…EVERY single day. Loving him feels like living inside a 90s R&B love song… 😂still romantic, still intentional, still magical.

And the way he loves Cameron—how he shows up, how he leads, how he makes him feel seen and valued—has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. A true *bonus dad in every sense of the word.

Life hasn’t always been kind to me. But loving Shun has been everything I’ve prayed to God to provide for me. The SURPRISE! The moment, the friends and family who showed up…it reminded me that love is patient, and it really does win.

I can’t wait to spend forever with you, Shun! I’m a FIANCÉE! 🤍 💍✨

My girls really showered me yesterday with ALL the love, and I’m still smiling about it.

Chanel, my BFF for 25+ years, thank you for hosting and making yesterday so special. Linda — LISTENNN 😂😂 — thank you for co-hosting and helping make sure everything was PERFECT. And to all of my girls who had their hands in making yesterday happen, keeping things moving, checking on me, handling the little details and making sure I was loved on… THANK YOU. I saw yall. 🤍

I truly have the BEST village. Yesterday was one of those days that makes you stop and realize just how blessed you are to have people who genuinely love you and show up for you. I felt SO loved. 🌸

And Shun!! My man really pulled up and surprised ALL of us!! The sweetest surprise and such a beautiful reminder that I’m marrying my person.

I’m just grateful. Grateful for my girls. Grateful for my family. Grateful for my village. Grateful for this man. And SO ready to be HIS WIFE!

Today marks my sixth professional First Day of School and my seventh year in education (I started working in January😭). It’s my fourth in Spring ISD and my second as a member of the Communications Department.
