part of my ongoing artistic exploration of labour, tactility + resistance to AI generated images. each cross mimics individual pixels - an experiment incorporating textiles back into my practice, whilst continuing to play with light + material. by @fvrubz

highlight of my trip to venice - I LOVE CRAFT! 💌

we got to converse and question as we met artisans shining a light on their knowledge and processes. it was wonderful to have the people emphasised, who all dedicate their lives to making beautiful, tangible objects that each hold the context of the specific conditions and cultures they come from. a touching ode to our earth and the materials we have to play with and care for, that are shaped by hands and ideas, time and labour.

Sint-Salvatorskathedraal in Bruges 💌

this year for my father's birthday, we roadtripped around Belgium. every year on each of our birthdays, my family go to Church together to give thanks for the blessing of another year older.

growing up, I always wrestled with religion, and my father always reminds me that they gave me the name Faith for a reason. my understanding of faith has always differed from religion. to me, faith is cultivating a relationship, a dialogue, a devotion to Divinity - often unseen.

when I'm asked what my religion is, I'm never quite sure which box to tick. I usually opt out with 'I'd prefer not to say.' one thing I do always say though, is God meets us where we're at.

God is everywhere to me... in the embrace of the breeze or the sun kissing my skin or in the laughter of loved ones. I often find God in the beauty of architecture and art, and I contemplate on how, as human beings, we're all vessels of Divine love and have the will to express this tangibly through creation. I believe this is what moves me, even as my hands shake or my voice falters. by @fvrubz
