Calvary Baptist Church’s legacy takes new architectural form at 125 West 57th Street, where a contemporary spiritual home will serve the congregation for generations to come.

@calvarynyc’s new space supports worship, fellowship, education, administration, and community life. The mixed-use project brings the church together with an office tower developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Cain, with both rising from a shared podium.

The church’s architecture and interior design draw inspiration from water and reflection, thresholds, filtered light, and diversity. At its heart, the double-height sanctuary is conceived as a precious, protected object, distinguished by its curved, multi-shelled form and warm wood cladding. Along West 57th Street, prominent signage and a transparent curtain wall reveal the sanctuary to passersby, reinforcing the church’s presence within and connection to the surrounding neighborhood.

Two identities. One mixed-use vision.

125 West 57th Street, developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners @alchemy_properties and Cain, brings together a contemporary office tower and a new home for @calvarynyc within one cohesive architectural composition. The hybrid design gives each program a distinct identity while creating a harmonious architectural whole.

Great turnout for the launch of Collective Living and the Architectural Imaginary, followed by a panel on what New York could build next.

The conversation looked forward: with Toby Snyder (FXCollaborative) and Rosie Tilley (Charney Companies), moderated by Nicole Vlado, with a discussion at the intersection of housing design, domesticity, and urban life.

Aaron Mertz from @aspeninstitute framed the conversation through a stunning introduction.

We’re getting close to the opening of One Pace Plaza East!

This transformation in the heart of lower Manhattan represents a bold convergence of urban renewal, sustainable design, and innovation in performing arts planning.

Our team helped balance the rigorous demands of a full building gut and renovation alongside the development of cutting-edge theatre and production infrastructure.

Picture shows the completed 450 seat proscenium theatre.

@nusunvernon brings a crafted elegance to the East River waterfront.

Inspired by the neighborhood’s heritage, textured masonry, bronze-toned windows, balconies, and terraces give the 121-residence development a distinctive character along Vernon Boulevard.

A nine-story gridded volume and lower, townhouse-scaled wing step toward views of the river and Manhattan skyline, with a central courtyard creating an intimate landscape at the building’s heart.

There’s a plan to build a whole new neighborhood over Sunnyside Yards in Queens. 180 acres of rail yard, 6 to 7 times the size of Hudson Yards.

Deck over the tracks, add housing, offices, parks, and a transit hub tying together the 7, LIRR, Metro-North, and Amtrak. Studies point to up to 24,000 apartments, many affordable.

Floated in 1931, 1971, and 2017. But this time it might move.

I dug into it with @we.are.pau, @fxcollaborative, and @nybuildingcongress.

Introducing Hudson Landing, a new vision for Manhattan’s far West Side.

The two-tower development will convert an underutilized state-owned parking lot into 1,127 new homes, including more than 330 permanently affordable residences. The project reconnects the Intrepid Museum to its neighborhood with a new Intrepid Park and an expanded visitor and education campus.

We look forward to collaborating with @gothamorg, @fisherbrothers, MURAL Real Estate Partners, Empire State Development, and the @intrepidmuseum on this vibrant, inclusive project.

A closer look at the @chelseacanvasnyc façade.

The design weaves contemporary creativity with craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the textures, tones, and proportions that define Chelsea’s architectural landscape.

Blonde Norman brick shifts subtly with the changing light, while projected window frames and angled metal panels introduce depth, shadow, and rhythm across the full-block façade.
