𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁ⵑ
The FX Design Awards are back, and once again, HIMACS was proud to support this major event in the British interior design calendar.

Bringing together leading designers, architects and industry professionals, the 2025 edition celebrated creativity across all sectors of interior design. HIMACS took part by fabricating the official trophies: a sculptural object shaped like a turning magazine page, thermoformed in the deep Aurora Midnight and vibrant Ruby colours.

A heartfelt congratulations to all the winners: your talent, ideas and vision keep shaping the future of design.

What a week it has been?! We are delighted that six dpa projects have been recognised this week

November was a month full of inspiration, creativity, and a touch of festive spirit. Projects broke ground from Chelsea Harbour to the Scottish Highlands, we enjoyed afterwork drinks at the very festive Rose Pub and even had our fluffy office mascot join us for the day.

Ben enjoyed a fantastic evening at Grosvenor House for the FX Design Awards, invited by Parador, where they proudly took home the award for Best Floor Coverings.

To round off the month, Nick visited The Light House, Joe Corré’s newly opened boutique and private members’ club in London’s Soho, housed in a restored 19th-century former lighting shop. Meeting with Benedict Lamb, founder and creative director whose zero-waste couture features in the store alongside other independent designers, The Light House is a true beacon for craftsmanship and independent design in the heart of the city.

PLP Architecture has unveiled a new studio in London’s Whitechapel, designed and delivered with a circular fit-out approach.

The process involved evaluating all opportunities for reuse, repurposing, repair, recycling, donation and sales. Only 1% of items from PLP’s old offices were discarded; 59.9% was reused in the new space – Derwent London’s The White Chapel Building – 32.4% was given a new life through donation, returns, or selling, and 6.7% was recycled.

By retaining and reusing elements from both its previous office at Ibex House in London’s EC3 and the new space, PLP achieved a 75.4% reduction in embodied carbon for its new office fit-out, meaning only 24.6% of the impact came from newly sourced materials.

Brown's Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Mayfair, London, has launched three new Forte Suites.

The Clementi, Clara Dow and Nightingale Suites each celebrate a local musical connection: from a nod to the Italian composer Muzio Clementi who called Mayfair home, to a Gilbert and Sullivan soprano star, and, finally, a wartime ballad sung by Dame Vera Lynn, once a guest of Brown's Hotel...

Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands (LDS) has completed the development of Eldon House workspace in the City of London for the developer CLI Dartriver, in a project that celebrates the character and original features of the former Edwardian #furniture warehouse.

LDS's renovation is a reimagined building of two halves and integrates the original 1907 Edwardian offices and warehouse, which are wrapped around a corner pub...
