I started 2023 with an ambitious schedule of work. Since January 1st I’ve been full tilt documenting people, places and things.

Starting the year off in a backcountry hut was a perfect way to center my mind for the unknown amount of challenges I have had the joy of solving.

Everyday has been a journey of getting to know new people, new cities and even myself.
Some days I only get a few hours with a subject that me or my team is filming and sometimes spend several days in the backcountry with a group of amazing adventurers chasing light and using the landscape as our group canvas.

Throughout the aps 2.5 Months I’ve interviewed and photographed over 40 individuals and slept in more than 20 different beds.

I have to give thanks for the work I do and the clients who trust me and @f4dstudio to show up and represent them and their brands. Telling stories is a passion of mine and way more than a hobby, it brings me immense joy to connect deeply with the people I get to document even if I only get a short glimpse into their lives.

Follow along as I share the behind the scenes stories of my recent experiences and my journey of human connection throughout the next few weeks.

@lisa_rovick and I have been playing around with the idea of van life for sometime now. Living on the road, exploring and doing all the activities we can pack in, fills up our cups, The experiences we have on the road together always leave us wanting more and bringing us closer together.

A few weeks back we took advantage of our partnership with @gravityhaus and jumped in Road Haus (A.k.a. Swayze) and headed to the desert for some adventures. The goal was to see what this van could provide and to find some epic settings for photography.
__

Some of the highlights included a sunset hike into the Druid Arch, arriving just in time to capture the starburst of the sun spitting through the arch, sunset rides on slickrock and on the final night we were graced with a full moon rising over camp.
__

The consensus after an epic weekend in Swayze is that we are still keen to #exploremore and believe me there will be a day we have our own van to adventure in.

Through the storm, toward something greater.

We got aboard with @warriorsailing to capture there effort in this years @racetomackinac. A historic 333 mile race across Lake Michigan, where the team was put to the test.

But for Warrior Sailing, it’s about more than the race. Their mission is to use the power of sailing to help veterans build confidence, community, and new connections beyond military service.

Out on the water, we saw that mission in motion. Through changing conditions, long nights, and the relentless push toward the finish, we captured a story about finding what’s possible when you move forward together
