POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last weekend I was down in St. George running the St. George Marathon. Didn’t plan that too well with a week ago running a 50 K race. Felt pretty good throughout the race, but started having some major cramping in my calf and my quad which intern made it so this race went a lot longer than it should’ve been

Thanks to my wife @mommakeil1825 for coming to support me and all my friends being there to support me even though they had finished there race. by @gabekeil

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to run @mammothtrailfest doing the 50k race. Such a cool atmosphere to be around so many people doing the same thing you were.

Things started out pretty good. I felt like things were going like they needed to for the race but as I got Miles 16 through 18 which was a straight uphill and climbing over boulders thing changed.

My whole body was in a lot of pain. I continue to push as hard as I could, but unfortunately, when I got to the fifth aid station, I found out that I had missed the cutoff.

@timtollefson I missed being able to get that finish line photo with you but would like to thank you for the couple chats we had the day before the race. All and all great experience. by @gabekeil

This summer has been crazy going to missionary farewell and homecoming’s. Most of this kids have been ones that I’ve coached or been around on the team. Some are also athletes from other schools that I’ve been able to have conversations with about track and life. Grateful that they have let me into their life. Those going out serve with all your heart might mind and strength. Those who have returned congrats and fulfilling your missionary service to the Philippines, Liberia, New York, and Taiwan. And those who are going to Maryland, Idaho, and Australia good luck and god be with you till we meet again by @gabekeil

This past week I had a chance to go to @faster.utah camp where @fastuniversity @fastprep was there. I’m always trying to learn things to help my athletes be the best they can be. Thank you both so much. Can’t wait until next year by @gabekeil

It’s been a crazy year. Many things experienced for the good and bad. Ran the most mileage I’ve ever run in a year. Here’s to another year. by @gabekeil

I had the opportunity to share the trails with @billyyang yesterday. He was in town for a pod cast. Got to ask him some questions about a run he did that I will be doing this year in the Grand Canyon. If you want to watch some great ultra runner documentaries find him on YouTube. by @gabekeil
