Just completed this 50’ Mardi Gras Indian mural private commission in the 7th wd. Aerosol w a clear coat finish. Took my time rendering the beadwork out of respect for the craftsmen who painstakingly create these suits, some of which take more than a year to sew + build. This only took me 5 days in comparison, but was meant as an homage to those keeping the masking tradition alive. Thanks to @lgd70124 for the referral. CAIN is a reimagined ballet-opera that will premiere at the Marigny Opera House in September
2026. The music is a resurrection of the 1707 oratorio “Cain, overo il primo omicidio” by
Alessandro Scarlatti - one of the most celebrated composers of the Baroque era. This virtually
unknown baroque gem will take on new life as a fully staged ballet-opera, reworked and
directed by the Marigny Opera Ballet’s new Artistic Director Bogdan Mynka with original choreography by Resident Choreographer Amalia Najera, bringing together
some of New Orleans’ finest dancers, designers, musicians, singers, and storytellers, as well as
select talent from around the world.

The original artwork is a hand-drawn illustration created by New Orleans painter, muralist, and printer Gabriel Flores. A 200 piece limited edition of hand-pulled silkscreen prints will be available for purchase. The price of each VIP ticket will include a signed and numbered 24x18” silkscreen print on archival French paper. Each purchase of a print goes directly toward making tickets more affordable.

Some of the spray paint work I did for Super Bowl LIX for 1Team and the @nfl Commissioned by @whereyartworks
The mural in the first slide was painted at the SuperDome and was outside the stadium on game day when the @philadelphiaeagles became the Super Bowl champions. It’s 8’x16’ and is painted on (4) 8x4’ flats that are connected together. The piece is still for sale. Purchase a piece of history 👀 Philly super fans Inquire within!

MUSIC 4 THE EYES. This Friday I’ll be showing this 7 color hand embellished screenprint on 100# cover. I wanted to try something experimental after my visit to Austin for Flatstock 84 and seeing all the amazing gig poster artists. Screenprinting has been a part of my life for over 20yrs now and I’m excited to explore this new direction. Edition of 10. 16x24” approx.
This will be showing alongside other visual offerings from some old and some new friends @mortalmachinegallery 840 Royal street this Friday May 5th. Starting at 7pm. Multiple colorways will be available. by @gabrielflowres

Another BUKU in the books! Thanks to all the artists that contributed this year. I don’t get to enjoy myself as much as in the past but it’s always a good time getting together to paint and listen to music.
