Yes life might seem a little heavy at times, but those times never last. Always remember to keep an eye on the light that will be shining through the end of the tunnel. Things will get easier, things that seem unbearable will become bearable. 💗

Trust me I’ve been through it so I know.
27th July 2026 my health journey finally came to an end meaning I will no longer suffer. I got my ileostomy bag reversed after getting poisoned by mussels in a restaurant in Simon’s town last December.

Since then my health has never been the same, I was in and out of the emergency rooms for about six months, admitted twice to hospital and I’ve had people tell me that I will no longer live a normal life.

So have faith, be patient and trust the process ❤️ by @gabsta_v_w

The biggest lesson I learned this year was to be patient and trust the process.

From being in hospital crying almost 3 times a day and hearing my dad tell me “chin up Gabby you’re almost there, everything will get better” - at that time I was in so much pain. I didn’t believe my dad.

My biggest wish at that time was to just get out of the ICU. Nothing else mattered to me at that point.

Having the privilege to attend @efcworldwide just reminded me that anything is possible. Challenges in life can be overcome. Tough times never last.

Thank you @juliankiewietz for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. In hospital when we spoke about this I never actually thought that I would be healthy enough to attend EFC.
