POSTS STORIES REELS

Seen in: Harper’s Bazaar — a moment we are deeply proud of.

Set high above Lake Lucerne, this ceremony was designed as an “everlasting circle” — a floral installation that feels as if it has grown organically from the landscape itself, framing one of Switzerland’s most breathtaking views.

With its blend of towering mountains, tranquil water, and timeless architecture, this location embodies everything a destination wedding should be: intimate, elevated, and unforgettable.

At GAEA Design, we believe in creating more than just a setting — we create an atmosphere, a feeling, a moment suspended in time.

This is where design meets nature.
This is where stories become landscapes.

For bespoke destination weddings in Switzerland and beyond, we invite you to get in touch.

Some places invite a celebration to unfold with a particular intimacy.

At Club Baur au Lac in Zurich, the historic Villa Rosau, its garden and the contemporary architecture create a thoughtful dialogue between different eras.

For us, this is a beautiful starting point for wedding design.

We imagine floral compositions that respond to the proportions of the rooms. Textures that draw out the character of the setting. A table arranged with care for the conversations that will unfold around it.

There is something deeply appealing about gathering your people in a place that holds both the energy of the city and the quiet of a garden. Arriving, settling in, moving from one atmosphere to another as the celebration finds its rhythm.

Our approach would begin with these transitions, allowing the architecture and surroundings to guide a design that feels personal to the people at its heart.

If you are imagining an intimate wedding or private celebration in Zurich, save Club Baur au Lac as a place to explore.

When planning and design develop together, each can make the other more thoughtful.

The layout gives a floral idea room to exist. The timing allows guests to experience a space in its most beautiful light. The stationery helps them move through the celebration with ease.

At GAEA.DESIGN, wedding planning, design, floral design and stationery come together within one atelier.

We can follow an idea through its different expressions, while keeping sight of how the whole experience will unfold.

If this connected approach feels right for your celebration, we would love to hear what you have in mind.

We often begin by standing still.

Looking at the way daylight enters a room. Noticing the colour of the stone, the proportions of a doorway, the trees just beyond the windows.

A place already holds so much information.

Before introducing anything, we want to understand what belongs here and what might deepen the experience of being here.

This attention shapes our approach to destination wedding design. The setting becomes a creative partner, influencing the materials, the flowers and the way the celebration unfolds.

Think of a place you love. Which small detail makes it unmistakable to you?

There is something deeply human about setting a table.

Before anyone arrives, we have already begun to think of them. A place has been made. A glass is waiting. Flowers have been chosen for the space they will share.

When we design a wedding table, we imagine the conversations, the familiar faces sitting beside someone new, the evening slowly finding its own rhythm.

Every texture, proportion and flicker of light becomes part of how people are welcomed.

And eventually, the carefully arranged table becomes beautifully lived in.

What would make you want to stay a little longer?

Some settings do half the design work. Altitude, light and a view that becomes part of the story, then an evening by candlelight. Follow for more.

THE GOOD OLD TIMES IN THE SWISS ALPS

In the mountains, you become aware of scale.

The landscape stretches beyond anything we could create. Light moves across the slopes. Clouds alter the atmosphere within minutes.

Designing a mountain wedding in Switzerland begins with respect for that presence.

We consider how a ceremony sits within the view, how materials feel against the surrounding landscape, how guests arrive and find their place.

There is intimacy in gathering a small world of people within somewhere so vast.

Save this if you can imagine your wedding held in the quiet presence of the Swiss mountains.
