A free workshop for queer youth under 20, with priority given to trans Black and brown youth!

Join this hands-on, beginner-friendly cooking class by Chef Boo! Learn how to level up your cooking, and prep, cook, and eat your own fried rice dish by the end!

Tools, ingredients, and snacks provided!

“Chef Boo is a queer trans South Asian chef who is on a journey to open Bar ABCD!

They are a first-gen desi from Jersey who grew up eating cuisine from all over the diaspora.

Their food is inspired by their love for Bengali, East Asian, and Southeast Asian flavors.

A Leo rising, Aries sun, Pisces moon, Chef Boo brings the heat, spice, and aromatics that feed the belly and the soul.

They are here to share their love of food with you all!”

Re:Worlding is seeking submissions for Philadelphia-based exhibit showcasing public art, media, & ecology projects created by/for/about trans people of color. We are open to any work that engages speculative nonfiction, with a focus on visual art, short films, and small installations. Artists will collectively conjure an “imaginary archive” by presenting (im)possible pasts and (im)probable futures.

Artists must be based in Philly and identify as trans of color. We are prioritizing Black, Indigenous, and trans femme artists. New and emerging artists are welcome. This exhibit is AnCom, BIPOC, decolonial, disabled, fat, femme, heaux, and poor centered.

Accepted work will receive $500. Submissions are due Friday, October 2nd: tinyurl.com/REWORLDING26 by @galaeiphilly

Shots from our Drag/Production 101 workshop on July 11!

We learned about the history of drag, different styles of drag, and how your drag persona and performance reflects and can enhance your identity. We also got a chance to brainstorm and share our visions for our own personas and ideal performances. Finally, Icon Ebony-Fierce taught us the techniques and tools necessary to create a base for our makeup through a live demo.

But one thing that I do not take for granted is the ability to express yourself that is outside of societal norm.
