Galaxy Charitable presents: Moonie Masters

This previous weekend, the Galaxy Charitable Foundation hosted its annual golf tournament, Moonie Masters, where past and current Moonies enjoyed golf and fellowship.

Everything made from the tournament will ultimately go towards supporting Galaxy Charitable’s designated beneficiary for the 2026-2027 school year.

The 43rd annual Kirk Goodwin Run

This year’s beneficiary for the run was
Jasmine McCabe-Gossett: the Professional Development & Internship Director for the college of business

Over $39,000 raised throughout the course of the year, and from the run were able to go to Jasmine to help pay for her medical and treatment bills

I don’t have the words to fully express my gratitude to the @galaxycharitable foundation.

Two young men, Brady Locke and Parker Polk, carried forward a legacy built by the Men of Galaxy, a legacy that began in the 1980s to honor their friend Kirk Goodwin and support his family after his passing.

Decades later, that same legacy brought an entire community together to show up for mine.

Words will never feel like enough, but still, thank you.

And if you’re ever questioning whether you matter… you do.

The Lord turned a tragedy for the Goodwin family into an immense blessing for the Abilene community for the past 43 years.
