Galaxy Charitable presents: Moonie Masters

This previous weekend, the Galaxy Charitable Foundation hosted its annual golf tournament, Moonie Masters, where past and current Moonies enjoyed golf and fellowship.

Everything made from the tournament will ultimately go towards supporting Galaxy Charitable’s designated beneficiary for the 2026-2027 school year.

Thank you to all who participated!

The mission of Earl Young’s Team has always been about giving hope to those in need, which is why we were honored to be a sponsor at the 43rd Annual Kirk Goodwin Run.

This year, the @galaxycharitable Foundation selected Jasmine McCabe-Gossett as the beneficiary, someone whose impact at @acuedu has been felt for nearly two decades through her work in the College of Business Administration ( @acu_coba ).

While facing multiple autoimmune conditions and beginning a difficult new treatment journey, Jasmine continues to inspire so many through her resilience and care for others. We’re proud to stand alongside the ACU community in support of Jasmine and her journey. Please continue to keep her lifted up and visit us online to learn more about our mission.

This Saturday, GATA was blessed to be able to tailgate the 43rd annual Kirk Goodwin Run, hosted by the members of @galaxymoonies and fundraising for Jasmine McCabe-Gossett!

It was such a blessing to be able to show support for the Goodwin family as well as the McCabe-Gossetts, and a beautiful reminder of servant leadership! Thank you Men of Galaxy for inviting us!

I don’t have the words to fully express my gratitude to the @galaxycharitable foundation.

Two young men, Brady Locke and Parker Polk, carried forward a legacy built by the Men of Galaxy, a legacy that began in the 1980s to honor their friend Kirk Goodwin and support his family after his passing.

Decades later, that same legacy brought an entire community together to show up for mine.

Words will never feel like enough, but still, thank you.

And if you’re ever questioning whether you matter… you do.

Just showing up is more than enough.

The Fraternity of Galaxy’s Kirk Goodwin Run is expected to raise over $30,000–more than three times what was raised last year–with the proceeds benefiting COBA staff member Jasmine McCabe-Gossett.

Each year, the club chooses an individual to support financially and then organizes a community run to raise money. Galaxy will lead its 43rd annual KGR on May 2 at 10:30 a.m.

“What do your feet feel like?”

I get this question all the time when I tell them I use a cane because I still cannot feel my feet. The best way I can describe it is that constant “falling asleep” feeling. You know when you stand up and stomp your feet to wake them up? That buzzing, tingling sensation. That’s what my feet feel like all the time.

Even though the nerves in my feet are damaged, the muscles still work. So for the past several months, I’ve been putting in the effort to get stronger. I’ve been lifting weights, walking, working on my balance, and jogging when I can.

I’m feeling really motivated to walk the Kirk Goodwin 5K on May 2, and I would love for you to join me and my family. We’ve got a great group of students signed up already, but it would mean so much to see more of our community out there with us.

Come walk alongside me. 💙

And a huge thank you to the @galaxymoonies for all the work you’ve put into making this event happen. We’re so grateful.
