NOCTURNAL ECLIPSE
Other Forms of Return

El próximo 6 de agosto, Galeria Reus y Terreno Barrio Hotel (@terrenohotel) presentan "NOCTURNAL ECLIPSE: Other Forms of Return", un evento que reúne las propuestas de Claire O’Keefe (@claireokeefe), Miquel Ponce (@miquelponce) y Julià Panadès (@juliapanades) en distintos espacios del hotel.

La propuesta parte del eclipse solar de este verano y del ciclo de Saros, según el cual los eclipses vuelven a producirse en condiciones similares aproximadamente cada 18 años. Esta idea nos sirve para hablar del retorno: de aquello que vuelve después de un tiempo, pero que nunca lo hace exactamente de la misma manera.

POP-UP GALLERY [19h a 21h] acogerá la exposición "Other Forms of Return", con obras de Claire O’Keefe y Miquel Ponce, junto a "Eclipsar l'ocàs", una performance audiovisual de Julià Panadès en el espacio CINEMA.

"In Callum Green's process, the canvas does not function as a compliant support. Its surface imposes limits and returns the gesture transformed into a new problem. From this perspective, painting does not consist in resolving these frictions, but in sustaining them long enough for a new displacement to occur."

Some installation views of Un cuchillo que no corta, the current solo show by Alejandro Javaloyas (@alejandro_javaloyas) at the gallery, curated by Sofia Moisés (@sofiamoises).

"The images that make up the exhibition come from the artist's recurring nightmares, hastily written down in notebooks kept on his bedside table. There is something surrealistic in the ambiguous state in which sleep has not yet fully ended, giving rise to an automatic writing that escapes the control of reason and allows approaches from hidden places of consciousness."
