It's funny looking back now, because opening a gallery was never the plan.

Neither was studying engineering. Or becoming a lighting designer.

But somehow every twist, turn and questionable life decision led me here.

The truth is, I've always been an artist. Long before Gallery Unbound, long before exhibitions, and long before I believed I could make a life in the arts.

Like many artists, there were times I felt like I didn't quite belong. Galleries felt intimidating. Opportunities felt out of reach. I was shy, preferred creating over networking, and spent a lot of time wondering what the next step was supposed to be.

What changed wasn't my talent.

It was finding community, learning to trust myself, and realising that waiting for permission wasn't getting me anywhere.

Gallery Unbound grew from that experience.

It's a space built on the belief that artists deserve genuine opportunities, collectors deserve genuine connection, and art should feel welcoming rather than intimidating.

If you're new here, welcome. If you've been around for a while, thank you for being part of the journey.

And if you're an artist looking for your next opportunity, a collector searching for work that speaks to you, or someone who simply loves art, I'd love to hear from you. Send me a message and say hello.

-Meet 'An Old Placement of Light'.

When I look at the stars, it is through the lens of what science has taught us. However, as this work unfolded, it came with an ethereal quality that suited a nod to ancient cultures, those who who imagined heroes, maidens, and mythical creatures lifted into the night sky to become constellations.

This work is a gathering of stars, as though the ancient gods have only just finished their work.

Title: 'An Old Placement of Light'
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 90cm x 60cm
Price: $750

This original work is available, if you have been considering original art and this piece resonates, DM or email for a chat.

Original artwork, nightscape, night sky, night, stars, cosmos, nebula, dark blue, semi-abstract, contemporary painting, abstract, skyscape, galleries, curators, interior designers, property staging, architects. by @galleryunbound

Fifty One 🎨
A little bit of me, a lot of colour and a few stories along the way!
This one’s pretty personal. My abstract self-portrait, Fifty One. Raw, bold, a little imperfect, and that’s exactly how I like it.
Not your typical self-portrait, but then again, I’ve never really painted by the rules!
‘Fifty One’ is now available at @galleryunbound

Hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed painting it! 🙌
